Picks are coveted this time of year and player value might not ever be lower at any other time of the year. Nevertheless, players are sometimes shopped to move up or down in the draft. What Cowboys players do you think might be exposed in a trade?

The guys that I could see being dangled are Morris (no one will buy that), Dez Brant (no one will buy that one either) Tyrone Crawford to e 3-4 team, Wilbur to a 3-4 team and maybe Sean Lee if we really want someone badly.

We had a top 10 quarterback and we couldn't manage to get a single draft pick for him. I don't see us getting anything for any of the players we still have.

None of the names mentioned above are tradeable anyway due to their contracts.

We haven't traded a player in 9 years.

I can't think of anyone on the team that is tradeable with good enough value TBH.

We need all of the players we can get on defense---offensively, we don't have the depth to trade anyone besides Alfred Morris, I don't see that happening.

Dez ain't going anywhere.

But If the Cowboys did trade him, Dallas better get ransom him for a butt load next year. If a team like Cleveland drafts a QB they like maybe they would be willing.

It was already said, they was wanting to trade Morris. I doubt this happens. So he wil be the 3rd team RB unless they draft a RB to push him. I prefer they wait to get a few UDFA's at RB.
Take the chance with the draft pick on a defensive player.

Others but doubtful as they too can be better players in the draft besides Morris...I'll throw a name out there but again very doubtful.
Whitehead. packaged with a pick on day 3.

We can replace both Morris and Whitehead easily if the right players are there, even if UDFA's.

Again, both extremely doubtful though.

You just explained why it won't happen.

Veteran players value is lowest at draft time.

Morris has zero value, IMO. Maybe if a team has RB injuries in training camp he could have a tiny amount of value then.

I can see them drafting a WR and trading Dez next year. Stephen Jones never wanted to give him that contract, but the agents were able to get to Jerry.

Nobody would pay Crawford's contract if they Cowboys gave him away for a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue.

No none is going to give us a bag of pistachios for Morris particularly before the draft.

I like how people want to trade 98 for said bag of pistachios in what would end being biting off the proverbial nose to spite your face.

If you want to trade someone and get a real return then you are going to have to trade real assets that teams want like Irving, Collins, Zeke, or Dak.

I laughed but I am not clear on what the joke is...please explain :)

Dexter Coakley was the starting WILL back in the debacle before Parcells came in. The defense was bad with holes all over it but one year Coakley who was fast got a couple of picks and was chosen for a pro bowl after someone got hurt. I don't even think he was our best LB at the time as Dat was better IMO.

From that point on though any time a trade was speculated or a player acquisition was proposed Coakley was inevitably someone's suggested offering. We knew he was an average player but hey he got a pro bowl.

Even after he was gone people would propose him thus the joke.

Hopefully teams think higher of Whitehead than we do. There's guys in this draft that can do what he does better and more consistently, according to the Draft Show. Zero faith in him

They did trade his corneas for 2 livers and a gall bladder in a complicated three team organ donation swap. I think they made out OK in the deal.

Exactly.

La'el Collins would be the only player that would even have a little bit of value given his youth and contract but that would be beyond dumb.

Unless you wanna trade away what little depth and defensive players we have for a conditional late round pick---you're not trading players during the draft.
