In spite of his contract which is fair market value for a WR of his caliber, this is the time of year a contender in need of a WR might bite. CD is not happy and that's likely not going to change given the mess on offense and the front offices unwillingness to make moves. He could be an Irvin-like leader but its more selfish pouty than 'leader demanding more from those around him' pouty. You have to watch him on the sidelines to appreciate the problem. Why not try to trade him for picks before we have no choice but to dump him like Amari Cooper?

He is one of the best players on the team and one that is willing to do anything to help the team. He is not a diva and not a pouty WR. I wish every Cowboys player played as hard and gave the effort CeeDee does. Why would the Cowboys "have no choice but to dump him"???

Looks like you don't understand why the Cowboys traded Cooper either.

He is NOT happy and this will only build up as long as inepto is the QB.
Will they trade him.......NO.........cause there just as inept as QB1.

The contract we signed him to was stupid given the state of the team. I guess you learned nothing from the Matt Millen era in Detroit.

I bet you were against the Hershel Walker trade bc he was "one of our best players!"

Trade our 20 million dollar slot receiver? Madness. Who else will catch all those 5 yard routes and take the pounding of a lifetime week after week.

I get the sentiment but Dallas would have to eat his $38 million (is this accurate?) signing bonus upon a trade. They could, of course, make the receiving team take that on but would probably end up with a 5th (joking a little) in return. In other words, that cap hit makes it not worth trading him.

The better choices to dump are Parsons and Dak.

We are in a rebuild. We should be, in any case. We need draft picks not the 2nd highest paid WR in NFL history.

Man what has happened to the football IQ in this forum
I get frustrated with fans who think a trade or a new head coach is the magic pill. Sure it might produce a short term winning streak, at best. But it won't bring home a Lombardi trophy. For the Cowboys, it's 1988 all over again.

A trade of our best player is literally what helped build the 1990's dynasty.
