CeeDee has few flaws on the field.

But...the guys body language on the field is immature for sure.

YOU might not want to agree, but perception is a real thing.

AtlantaCowboy made a thread about being at the game and watching Ceedee on the sideline looking upset all game. If true, coupled with the spat he and Dak had last year in the Playoff game...along with the bad body language he displayed in regular season last year....ALONG with his Mom's tweets(dont know if this is real of not...I never looked into CeeDee's Mom's tweets issue)....

At some point you start to have to ask yourself questions about the guy. So...I am not discarding this post as an emotional fan spit-balling.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! They just signed him to a great contract, he plays harder than anyone on the team and he's someone to build around! The cowboys need to trade Micah before they are forced to pay him as well and pick up draft picks and CAP space for next season. They also need to have the balls to pull a Denver Broncos move and after next season, cut Dak loose, eat the rest of his contract and move on! If there's a top QB this season in the draft, I'd make a play on him, let him sit behind Dak for 1/2 of his first year and then bench Dak! The sooner they move on from a terrible situation, the faster the team can hopefully be relevant again!
They’re already forced to pay Micah. If he agrees to play on his fifth year option, very unlikely, they have to pay him over $20 million for 2025. And it all hits the salary cap immediately. No team will trade anything significant for him under current circumstances. Injured, did not perform well this season prior to the injury, and he’s going to demand big money in just nine weeks.

Trade deadline is less than 26 hours away. so much for a desperate team overpaying for him.

Trade a player create a hole to get draft picks for a player that might work out. Make sense
That’s true. Trading a guy like lamb works if you have a viable option to replace him. Lamb is our only real offensive weapon other than Aubrey

Sure they would. He’s one of the top pass rushers in the game and they don’t have to play him on 5th year option, they could extend him. But no one is getting traded right now. Just not enough time to put a deal together

Cooper called Dak out , So they sent Coop packing just like Dez . now CD .........

See a pattern ?
now CD? they just signed CD before Dak what pattern? Jerry literally talked about Cooper "Availability" as why he traded him which meant he missed games because of covid while saying that is his choice not Jerry's...your gonna break something trying to link Dak to the Kennedy assasination next..stop stretching so much...

If we could get what we got for Walker, as well as having a coach who knows how to use the new players, sure. Otherwise, I don't see it be good for the team
Look, I am not saying it could be the Hershel Walker trade all over again. That was a once in a lifetime trade. I'm using the Walker trade to show that sometimes to move forward , you have to trade a good player. Lamb is just one of the few players we have who could bring us some trade value. Would you do it for 2 first round picks and free up cap space at the same time? I would. The WR position is way down the list of positions you have to pay. We NEED DE's. We NEED a much better RT. We NEED a run stuffing LB and DT. We don't NEED the second highest paid WR in league history on a 3-5 rebuilding project.

Will Jimmy be picking players in the draft? Or will it be the worst GM in football?
He found CD in round 1. Maybe we can find somebody who can catch a football for a lot less? WR is not a hard position to fill if you use premium draft picks. The more draft picks we have, the more good players we will find. They won't all hit which is why you need a lot. Even Jimmy swung and missed on a few. In Miami, Jimmy did better in round 2 than in round 1.

This isn't fantasy football - there is the remaining portion of the signing bonus ($58m) amortized over the next 4 years that would be due. I believe 1/2 would go against the 2024 cap and the other 1/2 the 2025 cap.

I'm not trading him bc I think he sucks. I'm trading him b/c he is great and one of the few players who could bring a cache of draft picks.

Why not? He's not doing us any good. We are 3-5 with a healthy CD.
I respect the thought. I just don’t trust Jerry, he’s guaranteed to screw it up.

Dallas could not get a 3rd round pick for him. If he was worth having on your team the Cowboys, the team that is most familiar with what he can do, would have signed him to an extension by now. He’s not that good.

That is not true. Micah is one the best defensive players in the NFL and that fact is recognized around the league. Not signing him to an extension is just par for the course in Dallas. We didn't sign Dak to an extension. We tagged him for a year. CD had to hold out for his extension. Jerry doesn't spend money until his back is against the wall.

Micah isn't going to set foot in training camp next year until he has a new contract. He's going to do what CD did. Why wouldn't he?
He would be a great piece to add to a team on the cusp of being a contender. Dallas is not even close. His talents are wasted here.

Amari Cooper has already been a no go in a Buffalo game . He disappeared in Dallas as well the team was not going to reward him , Jerry bought high sold low which is how he operates .

Cee Dee has had no such problems in Dallas and like Tyler Smith and yes Parsons is a building block to getting back to at least playoff caliber football .

In spite of his contract which is fair market value for a WR of his caliber, this is the time of year a contender in need of a WR might bite. CD is not happy and that's likely not going to change given the mess on offense and the front offices unwillingness to make moves. He could be an Irvin-like leader but its more selfish pouty than 'leader demanding more from those around him' pouty. You have to watch him on the sidelines to appreciate the problem. Why not try to trade him for picks before we have no choice but to dump him like Amari Cooper?
Worst current take in the Fan Zone.

Micah is a very limited defensive player in the NFL. The only team he’ll ever play for is the Dallas Cowboys. No team really want him, including the Cowboys.

The coaching staff here is transitory not long shelf life let’s see what a new 2025 regime can do . For one thing a 3rd place schedule should be more forgiving then the Bermuda Triangle Det Balt SF meat grinder just faced .

Second the Cowboys should be at least 10 or 11 places higher up the draft position in April than the customary 22, 23 24 slot they usually have . Giving the new coaching staff a better quality of draft class to work with .

Jerry did make the fatal error of extending a QB in his 30’s who now seemingly can no longer scramble without injury that’s bad news . I still would hold on to players like Lamb Smith Bland Parsons Diggs Overshown Ferguson Tolbert ….this is not the NFL gutter some are painting .

Micah is limited only by his role in the defense. He's playing DE which is not his natural position.
