He is one of the best players on the team and one that is willing to do anything to help the team. He is not a diva and not a pouty WR. I wish every Cowboys player played as hard and gave the effort CeeDee does. Why would the Cowboys "have no choice but to dump him"???

Looks like you don't understand why the Cowboys traded Cooper either.
It depends if you want to BUILD a team or not. A "good" trade gives positive capital. The Amari trade was not that.

I still would hold on to players like Lamb Smith Bland Parsons Diggs Overshown Ferguson Tolbert ….this is not the NFL gutter some are painting .
Dallas is a place where careers come to die. Lamb drops/fumbles the ball in the biggest moments. Bland and Diggs are average without a pass rush.

Diggs has zero tackling skills. Tolbert is just another Tito Jackson. Only Ferguson and Overshown are bright spots. Dallas roster is terrible.

WTH......just unload a valued player? If anything, sit him down to mend. It's already ugly. Don't give Jerry anymore bad ideas.

Agree. My take before the season started was to sign just Ceedee instead of Rayne and Parsons, IF one was to be signed.

He's the the guy with heart out of the 3

People must be watching a different NFL team and want to unload one of the best receivers in Football plus an edge who routinely has double digits in sacks since he came to Dallas so McClay can “ magically “ replace them in the draft turning Dallas into the Carolina Panthers ,

In spite of his contract which is fair market value for a WR of his caliber, this is the time of year a contender in need of a WR might bite. CD is not happy and that's likely not going to change given the mess on offense and the front offices unwillingness to make moves. He could be an Irvin-like leader but its more selfish pouty than 'leader demanding more from those around him' pouty. You have to watch him on the sidelines to appreciate the problem. Why not try to trade him for picks before we have no choice but to dump him like Amari Cooper?

You should be kicked out of the Zone - just kidding. But let's not talk about trading CeeDee - he is untouchable.

Just trying to get us some draft picks. I know its not happening. The counter argument that won me over was the idiots in charge wouldn't know what to do with the draft picks even if they somehow stumbled into a favorable trade.

Without him him our receivers are average. You can’t just move on from all your best players and expect to build a great team. You have to have some cornerstones.
There are 4-6 WR in history that have had career years or led the league in stats after 27 years old. When the season was a throw away, you would have to see him excel through age27-29

As opposed to drafting 24th being one and done in the playoffs?
When you have one of the top players at their position you are most likely drafting a lesser player so how does that make you better? Trade a guy for a pick then use that pick to replace him only works if you draft a better player

You're assuming its a 1:1 swap though. If you offload some of the contract money you get a pick plus money to spend in free agency. You could realistically be getting 3 or 4 players back in return for Lamb in the equation. Granted this isnt the ideal time to trade him (and why i'm not in favor of it) because you have some cap hits to take on in the short term, it does free up your long term cap situation to restructure other deals to create space.

We are in a rebuild. We should be, in any case. We need draft picks not the 2nd highest paid WR in NFL history.
Exactly, some morons here think this team is contending for a SB now and the next three years. Dallas will be rebuilding, like it it not. Including new coaches . Of course, this makes Dak’s contract even more nonsensical.

Only idiot Jerry and son can screw this up too.

Or get better players with the money. CeeDee isn't a difference maker.. he wasn't in the playoffs and not this year. You build teams in the trenches and a QB. What caliber WR did New England win with all those years....they never won it all with Moss. KC had Tyreek and traded him.

He wast the biggest mistake, that was not trading bland while he came off a career year and under rookie contract, then Dak.

I agree on bland. Either him or Diggs since you aren’t paying both. But I do think Lamb is a difference maker. But no player can be your total passing game
