I see everything you just said but IMHO they are not signs of leadership. Maybe CD prepares hard good for him. Maybe he is studying film good for him. He gives it everything he has on Sunday good for him. The rest of the team is not.

Players miss meetings. Players skip practices. Players do not know their assignments. Players do not play hard. Players are happy to sit out. The signs that this team lack leadership are literally everywhere.

If CD was a good leader these things would not be happening. They are literally happening because he is not a good leader. Go ahead and blame the coaches if you want I am fine with that but do not give me the CD is such a great leader nonsense. The team is literally falling apart due to a lack of real leadership.
It's not nonsense. Are you trying to tell me that one or two guys can change the attitude of 52+ others? Or fix a culture that's been broken for 30 years? Zeke is missing meetings and Dak doesn't seem to care anymore. Martin is checked out and Lawrence has been hurt all year. Those are supposed to be the leaders of this team, and they're all failing, leaving Lamb to pick up the slack. It especially doesn't help when the HEAD FREAKIN COACH is on the sideline for a paycheck.

You can't help the unwilling, but you can set a strong example for those that are receptive, and that's exactly what Lamb is trying to do. Call it what you will but CeeDee is pulling his weight and fighting the good fight despite hefty odds against this team. He's taking accountability for his faults and correcting them. He hasn't given up. That's the kind of guy I want on this team moving forward. That's what leaders are made of, not the rah rah superficial bullcrap we've seen from other proclaimed leaders of this team over the years.

Lamb just signed an insane contract. Second highest on the team. The team falls apart and has major leadership issues. IMHO he does not get a free pass. He wears it just like Dak and Martin and Diggs and D Flaw. At least for me he does.

Dak and Lamb are the face because I guess of recency bias but Martin, Law and Diggs sure are stealing money too.

You guys act like WRs are shiny rare pokemon impossible to find in the wild. For 35 million dollars in cap space they practically grow on trees.

He's producing and doing his job at a high level, unlike Martin and Dak, and Diggs. Lawrence has been hurt all year. Let's see what he does when he returns before passing judgement, but he was one that I was referring to with the rah rah superficial bs. You can lump them all together if you like, but how is that fair for the one guy that's going above and beyond when the others are failing their teammates?

In spite of his contract which is fair market value for a WR of his caliber, this is the time of year a contender in need of a WR might bite. CD is not happy and that's likely not going to change given the mess on offense and the front offices unwillingness to make moves. He could be an Irvin-like leader but its more selfish pouty than 'leader demanding more from those around him' pouty. You have to watch him on the sidelines to appreciate the problem. Why not try to trade him for picks before we have no choice but to dump him like Amari Cooper?

You misspelled Micah Parsons. I'd trade him over CeeDee 10 times out of 10.

I don't know about high level. The offense stinks. Tolbert would have more production given the same number of targets.

Lamb is a top 5 receiver this year in a bad offense. Asking more from him is insanity. I like Tolbert just fine and I'm glad he's producing this year, but he's nowhere near the player CeeDee is at this point in his career.

He is one of the best players on the team and one that is willing to do anything to help the team. He is not a diva and not a pouty WR. I wish every Cowboys player played as hard and gave the effort CeeDee does. Why would the Cowboys "have no choice but to dump him"???

Looks like you don't understand why the Cowboys traded Cooper either.
I agree 100%!! If more players went as hard as CeeDee and Overshown, the Cowboys would be a much better FB team! The biggest problem, and again it's been said a thousand times but the Cowboys are stuck with a C- Quarterback for the next 4 1/2 years who not only can't play well enough physically, he has lost the locker room, is a pariah and there is no way to overcome it!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! They just signed him to a great contract, he plays harder than anyone on the team and he's someone to build around! The cowboys need to trade Micah before they are forced to pay him as well and pick up draft picks and CAP space for next season. They also need to have the balls to pull a Denver Broncos move and after next season, cut Dak loose, eat the rest of his contract and move on! If there's a top QB this season in the draft, I'd make a play on him, let him sit behind Dak for 1/2 of his first year and then bench Dak! The sooner they move on from a terrible situation, the faster the team can hopefully be relevant again!
