I can see this getting more and more ugly as time goes on. Unhappy Dez and perhaps an uphappy Dez where it affects his play on the field and also the locker room environment. If any of the top tier teams in say the first 5 picks were willing to trade their number 1 and say number 2 for Dez, would you take it? Take one of the top two receivers (WV or Alabama kid) and then use the number 2 pick as needed for other needs. Anyone in??

A top five 1st and 2nd ? Most likely he is gone. The only thing is this, if you trade him you will put a huge hole in your wr core. Yeah those other guys in the draft seem good but they are not proven as Dez is. You will loose a lot of experience and a true #1 wr. I can see that top 5 pick doing wonders for this team. Especially if we can trade it down for multiple picks.

Any WR with Dez's credentials is going to demand top dollar as soon as he reaches that same level.
Jump the gun about getting rid of someone with his talent and we'd set ourselves back for about 3 yrs.
The old chiche about not fixing it if it ain't broke applies here. Until such time as it's broke, better let it be!

Let me add to this. What if the relationship between Valley Ranch and Dez is poison? Think about it folks. For those that say this is funny lets hear your solution to this problem. Remember, if Dez has been signed earlier then we could have used the franchise tag on Murray. Also, you folks are forgetting that some of these young wide receivers tore up the league last year. You telling me you wouldn't take the kid in New York and a number 2 (high round pick) for Dez right now?

Most receivers take 3 years to really start hitting their stride in the NFL. OBJ is an exception to that. Dez took about that long to really break loose. Do you feel like starting over?

I can't imagine that the Cowboys signed Hardy to a 1 year deal so that they could roll the dice on the season by replacing maybe the best WR in the game with a rookie. Maybe a rookie would be phenomenal, maybe not, but that's a huge risk when we're working in a very small window of opportunity.

If you wanted to trade dez the time to do so was a month ago. Part of the advantage of dealing him is that you free up cap space to bring in another big fa. Plus I'm never a fan of trading a player because his feelings might be hurt that he will only make $13 mil next season.

Gotta love the off season crap....LOL
I think the op just trying to stir things up possibly?

First of all, if Dez was signed to a long term deal. Most likely Murray still would not have been tagged. No way they pay him $9 or $10 mil a year, if the highest they were willing to go was $6 mil.
Even the Eagles wouldn't have given up 2 1st round picks for him and still pay him that much.

Not saying this is a proper communication channel but check out Dez's Twitter if you think he is going to pout. He will be the same Dez and I have no doubt about that.
