I mean, which is why I say that Parsons frustration should be towards Jerry, but he for obvious reasons won't do that. But, to me, unless this is something he'd addressed with Mike on multiple occasions behind closed doors, I think this comment should be kept behind closed doors or, if he must say it, kept on his podcast where he can explain exactly what he means.
Jerry isn't coaching....he's not in the trenches, film room, training room, position, meetings etc. MM is, or at least he should be.

I know, and I'm not saying Mike is doing well. It's difficult, especially seeing as, if he's saying this, I can only imagine what's being said behind closed doors. I do wish they could get Martin a ring. I understand Micah's frustration and what I think he's trying to say. But I am concerned that it can only create further division in the locker room with the way he said it.

You guys defending Micah are funny, good thing you don't run a professional team.

Micah has a proven track record of disappearing late in the season and in the playoffs.

Micah is not a true defensive end by size and he does wear down by the end of games.

Micah is a 1 trick pony so far and is rendered useless against heavy run teams.

His 2 sacks yesterday didn't affect the game one bit.

His controversy is causing way more trouble in the locker room than his play is benefitting this team.

I will take a some good trade capital and build a solid line and stay off podcasting.

Micah is a self oriented divisive force

Micah is a LB playing DE to get paid

This is not a guy you pay
Thus is a guy you trade

In all honesty, I was hoping that they would have traded him before the trade deadline. This defense is gonna make him look bad which is gonna make his trade value take a hit. Also rather have the picks for the next draft. No way we can afford to keep him and rebuild.

As good as he is as a player and a talent, I take massive issue with what he said yesterday post game. I understand that a lot of us have issues with Mike McCarthy. I understand that he's a walking sack after this season. Frankly, I think McCarthy can't wait to leave Dallas, and, with the way Micah buried him, I can't blame him. I dread when we have to next play against McCarthy because he's going to remember what Parsons said. Additionally, what Parsons said is incredibly toxic and can destroy a locker room. It's one thing to say it behind closed doors, but to say it to the media, absolutely ridiculous and shows the toxicity of the locker room. If anyone knows what a coach's day is like, McCarthy probably does put in a massive amount of work, and what more is he supposed to do with how bad this roster was constructed? The person most at fault for this roster is Jerry. If Micah wants someone to blame besides himself, that's where it should be. However, he never would say that.

To me, we must trade Parsons after the season. We can probably get multiple high picks including a first and maybe an extra first plus more picks. We need to start cleaning house.

Or, if we don't trade him, I hope we get a coach that never lets him get away with a statement like that to the media. I hope McCarthy reams him on Wednesday in practice for it and tells him if he has a problem, bring it to him directly.
So many are taking his statement the wrong way. That's what happens with sound bites. As McCarthy said when he talked to Parsons about what he said, how the statement was taken was not Parsons' intent.

"who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did"

Please tell me how we should change our understanding of the English language to fit your narrative?

He either said it and meant it or said the wrong thing and didn't correct himself. You can listen to his podcasts and quickly see that he has a low quality education so he very well could have just misspoken.

Either way it comes across as disrespectful and controversial. What was this guys wonderlic results? Have you read his drafting report, all of his concerns in the drafting report are a microcosm of the issues he has right now.

He is not going to change and we shouldn't change the team to fit his personality. He's not that good, not a generational talent.

TOTALLY AGREE!! Watching & listening to Micah the last 3 seasons makes me lean toward the side that he’s not a great player, he’s only very good against the weaker teams & players in the NFL! He isn’t a team guy who the defense can get behind and be great. Tired already of his B.S.!!

Context is always important. Here is what he said:

"Mike can leave and go wherever he wants, guys I kind of feel bad for (are) guys like Zack Martin and guys who might be on their last year or on their way out. Because that's who I wanted to hold the trophy for. You want to win games and do great things with those type of legends who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did. Those are the kind of guys that I have so much sympathy and hurt for."

The point being that McCarthy's career can continue as a coach, so Micah feels bad for players like Martin who are at the end of their career. That's who he wants to win for. "Time and work" refers to the physical effort that goes into playing at a high level in the NFL. It is sweat equity he's addressing. His comments should have been taken as a positive, but because of how he worded it, they were taken as a shot at McCarthy. He's really simply saying that McCarthy will be fine, but guys like Martin deserved more than what they'll end up with if this is the last year of their careers.

Parsons is less of a problem than our fans who look for reasons to bash our players and want to get rid of the best ones. Of course, that's been the case for at least as long as there has been social media and probably longer. There have been Hall of Famers who have been treated with disrespect here, so there's no reason to expect it to be different with Micah.

How does Dallas get better trading one of its best players ? Overshown & Parsons can be special and go a long way to wrecking offenses along with a DT Edge and LB from the April draft . Get Diggs and Bland healthy at the same time .

The mistake was extending the QB past this season not Parsons

Him next too overshown in the future can be really special. Having a healthy Diggs and bland also. Having a top 10 pick next year will go along way too next year.. those DTs looking nasty In this draft. Hell mason Graham on this line.. yes he’s from Michigan but boy is different. He actually has quickness off the snap
Graham is an animal!
