No. They have to bring in solid competition in case his mild hot streak proves to be a fluke.

I see nothing wrong with competition. Most if not all positions on the team need to stay on their toes, and there seem to be several that are outright up for grabs. It's the idea that we should just trade probably the only viable option at the most important position that's got most of us going, especially with no clue as to what the replacement would be, since a starting a rookie at QB would be out of the question.

This December meltdown would be just a pleasant memory by comparison.

The only thing more mind-boggling than trading Romo would be Jerra naming himself head coach. And that threat is always out there...
