Trade value for Pickens might not be what people are expecting

There was alot of throwing into triple coverage. That tells Seattle didnt respect NE's WR's and NE wasnt confident they could make them pay

we all know he's going to get tagged, hopefully it's the franchise tag that allows him to seek trades with a first round tender ,now we can see his value, he can see his value ,his agent can see his value, if it really is that low, it'll be easier getting a long term deal done for a lot less money.

I mean $30 million is for wide receiver pay right now and close to Higgens and waddles deal,

so, he be top 10,I believe it'll make it easier to get him to sign for that...

That is why you use the tag.. Hell he might even play under the tag if he got low balled like that because it's not that far away from signing a long term deal and then go back in next year and try to get more but I still think that's ridiculous and no I didn't listen to the video I've heard the rumor saying we'd be lucky to get a second for him, that's ridiculous...

Yeah that is wishful thinking ,Just inflation alone with the cap going up prices have gone up, It would be more like a deal like T Higgins got Still, I would be OK with around 29 to 30 capped at 30..

I mean if he wants to sign here for 30 that's right around with other guys in his position which makes him top seven it's not slap in the face is not disrespectful... There is a market for WR2 Were you really a 1B however you want to look at it and that's Higgins, Waddle, and Smith ,which puts them more recent category is close to 30..

so he signed for 25 or 26 million ,yeah you're not getting George Pickens for that..

That's how it works that's a lot more than Brown makes and we're talking about the cap right now is 28.8 which is more then Smith makes, I don't Pickens is going to sign for that he's going to want probably 30 or more.

Let's just get to the tag first then first round tender attached to it and let's let him seek some trade that let's see his real value let's see what he's really asking for...

I think the Cowboys would love to give him what Smith is making but I don't think that's what George Pickens is thinking right now He can play on the tag for more and I know it's not long-term comfort but still... Inflation has happened since Smith signed his deal..

That cannot expect to progress by just adding prospects every year. You add bridge starters and when these prospects are ready that get elevated.

If the team wants to take advantage of this Dak window, they must use fa and target impact defenders

No team is trading anything for him without a deal in place first. You’re used to a team run by an idiot GM. The other 31 teams have smarter ones. In addition, once tagged Pickens controls a trade, not the Cowboys. Jerry Jones is not giving David Mulugheta that kind of control.

Smith’s “top money” contract only goes into effect next month. They were not paying him top money when they went to the Super Bowl. Now that it’s about to go into effect they’re considering trading their other “top money” WR.

Of course, what do they know?

Higgins is the comp and the cautionary tale in my opinion. Having 2 WR 1’s is great until you don’t have a defense to stop anyone… and the Bengals are facing that harsh reality.
 
I forgot where I saw it but there was a well written article predicting his value.
It was based on like players (top WRs) being traded and took into account contract status.
AJ Brown, Metcalf, Davante Adams, etc.
It concluded that Pickens value was about #18-22 in the first round, based on similar trades.
