Personally, we can get Sam Bradford as a backup next year after the Rams cut him.
Might want to hold on to Weeden
Jets have ZERO options at QB right now. Neither Smith or Vick are cutting it.
Weeden is former #1 pick and is backup for top 3 offense in league. Cowboys need some talent at pass rusher. Coples is a former #1 pick and is a rotation OLB.
Quinton Coples for Brandon Weeden. At 270, Coples is more suited to 4-3 end than 4-3 OLB, both players could use an opportunity for a new start. Even better, both guys have very cap friendly salaries this season.
Dallas actually needs a starting LB with Durant out for year. Your getting a high 2nd round draft pick back next week that I am hoping helps pass rush cause it can't get any worse. Weeden showed me something, I think he could be pretty good with this talented offense.
Yes, addressed that in another thread. Need to trade for LB (Telvin Smith, Arthur Brown or Ray Ray Armstrong) and give Ernie Sims another shot. This late in season need players that are familiar with system. That is why guys like Telvin Smith and Sims would be more valuable to team.
And Weeden is not going to be as effective once a team sees film on him. Even when he was with Norv in Cleveland, he struggled and was beat out by Hoyer. Nice arm but he's old and plays like a rook. Can't look off coverage to save his life.
I guess your moving the rookie QB up to 2nd string? I can see healthy dose of blitzes rest of year and I am not sure how long Romo stays in there with those kinds of hits. Your going to hear people bringing up Manziel argument again.
He'll learn to release that ball quick, other wise, RIP. Also, if I'm going to do a trade, I'd look at pass rush, unless this rookie can get the job done.I guess your moving the rookie QB up to 2nd string?
