The Rams reworked his contract in March.

It appears to now be 1-year, 5M with another 3M in incentives.

Edit: It appears the Ramsa will eat some of the guarantee and the Cowboys get him at 1-year 3M.

He was used a rusher much more than receiver un 2017. He had 59 rushes witj a 6.7 average and 1 TD. He was on targetted 22 times as a receiver.

Fumbles are an issue.

Doesn’t he make about 7 million this year? A lot of money for a guy who may not fit Dallas’s offense.

Didn't he sign a stupid contract prior to last season? What's the remainder on that? If it has term left, this trade is a head scratcher. If we can cut him and not be hurt by it, then it's small risk little reward. He was awful in STL/LA

That contract is what matters.
No he restructured this March to $5m plus incentives. One year deal.

Austin was the eighth overall pick in 2013 who came into the league with a lot of hype but has pretty much been a bust. He had a career low 13 catches last season averaging only 3.6 per catch. If the Rams and their coaching staff couldn’t get much out of him makes you wonder what the Cowboys can get out of him.

It got to the point where the Rams were just handing him the ball. He had 59 rushing attempts last season for 270 yards. He also had 5 fumbles. Looks like another dink and dunk option. Other than Zeke in the running game I don’t see who’s going to provide chunk plays for us in the passing game and put TDs on the board. We need to find ways to get the ball down the field.
