Didn't he sign a stupid contract prior to last season? What's the remainder on that? If it has term left, this trade is a head scratcher. If we can cut him and not be hurt by it, then it's small risk little reward. He was awful in STL/LA

That contract is what matters.

They re-worked it to a 1 year deal for ~7M (i think). It was on NFL Network.
