there is a reason clowney has 3 recent probowls and quinn does not.
Ok so go ahead and pay him $20M per season. He and Lawrence can give you 18 sacks together and only cost you $40M.

This isnt a serious thread is it?

sure, u need more than a scheme.
but either dak and the wrs can do it or not.
instead of run heavy, switch to the multi-role rbs that are much easier to draft like pollard.
only you need several of them.
that is where johnson comes in, and may be trade for 1 more.

RBBC does not work for this offense. Which is why they drafted Zeke.

Again, that’s a nonsense comment because it suggests diminishing the talent level doesn’t diminish the chances of success. There really isn’t any logic with that.

it is diminishing the offense talent for improving defense talent.
and the offense talent can be readily improved by drafting one next year.
not as good as zeke, but a 2nd tier rb.

Stop it.

You either don't get it or are pretending not to get it so people will give you attention and argue with you. Which on is it?

Only a few players in the NFL are a big enough threat to completely change the defensive gameplan and defensive players actions on the field. The biggest impact one of these level of players has on the game is what you can't see from your couch or keyboard. Zeke changes the defense. LBers and Safeties need to watch him on every play. You don't get caught a half a second behind when he is in the game. A LB doesnt hesitate on the play fake and it isnt a play fake and Zeke just ran over you or by you. Odell Beckham is also this type of player. These are game changers and game breakers. Defenses scheme all week to contain these guys.

You can't replace with with mid tier talent. Zeke owns a place in the defenses mind. Mid Tier talent doesnt.

Nope... trade Zeke for a 1st (Miami) and stockpile picks for the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.

We have a ton of Dline players and I am fine with RB by committee this year. It is a passing league and I have been told Dak is amazing.
Yeah just like WR by committee worked out last season. Some people’s kids lol

Funny you acknowledge this for an underachieving DE but you can't seem to grasp this pressure concept for a game changing RB like Zeke. Weird.

we are not going to seriously contend being stuck in that frame of mind.
in fact, i think the best thing zeke can do to help us win the superbowl is to holdout for at least 6 games.
it would take away the crutches and force dak and the wr to win the games.
if they have it, then zeke can come in after the holdout to add the extra improvement.
if they dont have it, then zeke would not make the team a serious contender.
in that case, we may as well suck to get the qb next draft

And the defensive talent can also be improved by drafting someone next year too. Instead, you want to overpay to make this deal, while creating a bigger problem with paying and retaining our other quality players.

not true.
let say zeke gets 15m but u still need a bookend de - quinn making 8m
15+8 =23

and clowney gets 22m but u still need a rb
that you can easily get in the 2nd round that cost 1-2m

salary wise, it is about the same.
it is where u want to focus salary cap $
