Just like 31 GM's knew what Trance's trade value was, then GM Jethro gave up a 4th.
Only a few disillusioned souls believe Trance has any value as a NFL football player. His is a most peculiar sports story.

I think he proved that he makes the defense better
he actually does and he's also better when he can play with other players that can draw attention you know like Overshown,

BTW Kendricks is a much better middle linebacker than any of them that Parsons had to play with early...

therefore, when he came back it was very obvious that parsons changed the defense..

However the flip side is that's the argument the debate here is can you pay the demand he might come with this nonsense and want to be the second highest non quarterback in the league basically he wants maximum money and he is not putting up sacks like a defensive player of the year, even DeMarcus Ware, Garrett, the bosa of brothers , TJ Watt all have had 20 sack seasons they have pushed the envelope to show their worth by coming close to records Parsons has not been that guy not yet.. And by the way TJ Watt is equally as good in the run game and the guy's one of the best all around defenders in the game I know Garrett runs around says he is but from what I see the way TJ watts all around game you can pay a guy like that that kind of money although he's been injury prone a little bit lately but I haven't seen that from Parsons yet... I know he attracts attention he gets a lot of pressures but for me he is not a 35 to $40 million player it sure would be nice if he actually did something with his ego not in play and came in and took $30 million and said I'm OK with that I mean how can a man not be OK with $30 million a year which is still probably top five because he's not even technically a full time defensive end he's an outside linebacker or just a weak side linebacker however you wanna put it he should not be in the 35 to $40 million range. If his play on the field and position flex are more like linebacker pay.so hes in the middle.. so his pay also should reflect that..

the fact is he wants to be paid like a DE, but we all know his body isnt built for full time DE, so how long will we get from him before his body breaks down??

I mean,

how much could you actually pay him?? That's the problem here, yes we should try to resign the guy,

but he can't be at a ridiculous money, he has not shown in the big games like in the playoffs that he's an impact player like literally just ,I don't want to put him in that category but people try to use the Lawrence Taylor thing, Lawrence Taylor wrecked every game he played or at least most games , but he shined in the playoffs.. he was one of the reasons they won Super Bowls in that he made his head coach look good yeah I know everyone loves Parcells but when you got a guy like that he literally was it and Parsons needs to show he's it before you start having your hand out for 35 to $40 million when you're only giving 10 to 14 sacks a year and you haven't made an impact enough for many of us to say just give him an open blank check...

So my opinion, is I voted to keep the guy,

but if his demands are ridiculous and he holds out I'm sick of this lamb held out he didn't need to if you look at Prescott our leader on this team literally came in this is the second time now where he was on his last year of a contractor on a franchise tag and came in early in this offseason work with players came into training camp didn't complain and then you have the opposite you got guys like lamb that miss camp he was gonna get paid anyway and it comes in and now he's dropping passes he's pounding on the sideline Zach Martin like threatens to hold out and he's not playing well since like I don't need another guy on my team like that you need to come in here and do something good for the team and realize you aren't the best pass rusher in the NFL therefore you shouldn't be paid like it I know there's a market the market is like Trayvon diggs did we had a quiet Trayvon diggs contract because he took top five money there was no big negotiation he says I am that good but I don't need to be the highest paid player he did hold out and it's odd because he was number 4 at the time and money and now he's at 5:00 so it didn't change much since he knew that he's OK with that I wanna play it like that on my team that doesn't hold the team hostage....

Re-sign. Bring in some talent around Parsons and see what kind of defense you can have. Pair the defense with a solid run game. Cowboys are closer to having a shutdown defense with playmakers at all 3 levels already on the unit.
