Trading Up & Trading Down

They were not trying to stockpile picks, they didn't think they were getting value at their current slot, so they traded down.

Look at this year. They have so many stockpiled picks that they have to get rid of some or lose the value they do have. They have more draft picks than they have roster spots. A damn good reason not to trade down only to stockpile.

You're right. I'm sure they are kicking themselves for acquiring all those picks.

God forbid you have the most picks in the draft year after year.

Maybe they'll give us some for free just to get rid of them.

Patrick Peterson is worth trading into the top 5 for IMO, but unless our scouts are sure he is going to be an all-world player it might be more prudent to sit and wait for Prince to fall to us at #9.

There is no one we can get that will fall to 5 or 6 that would be worth either the cap money or picks to get. Frankly I would be happy to trade down to 15, and get as many 2nd and 3rd rd picks as possible as that is where the talent is this year. Actually I would get rid of all picks past 4 to try and get higher picks. Would not be adverse to trading down twice; to 13-15 and 20-23. Then if a tackle is around worth getting grab him. The only single player I would like to get is Rahim Moore since he is the best FS in the draft. And he is probably gettable at our 2nd rd pick- would not be adverse to trading up a little to make sure we got him.
