Just curious what do you have to do to become a shareholder?

OK so now I feel silly. For some reason I had it in my mind that it wasn't a regular stock, but more of a public citizen rights deal.

It’s not actual stock. Packers Shareholders’ stock holds no value, they get no equity, pays no dividends, and it cannot be traded, but you can sell it back to the team if you want for a small fraction of what you paid for it.

When they put stock up, they’re really just giving you a collectible piece of paper for the team’s monetary gain. It’s effectively a go fund me for the Packers franchise due to not having an owner with deep pockets.

In return, stockholders get the opportunity to buy exclusive merchandise (also price gouged to extreme measures for the team to get more money). It doesn’t even give you a better waiting list queue for season tickets

It is like getting a participation ribbon, because you just weren't good enough to win. It really means nothing except to yourself and fellow GB fans. Otherwise who cares.
They can sit around the bar camp fire when it is 20 below zero and brag about how many penniless shares they have.
