I love Fred too so do not jump on me for saying this please. He needs work on his pass protection. They started sending different people at him in the A gaps in the second half and it caused problems. Poe made him look bad a couple of weeks ago.

He is a rookie and it is more than understandable but if he wants to be considered elite he needs to shore that up.

What's funny is that I still saw posts in the GDT rueing the decision to pass over floyd, trade down, and pick up frederick.

I don't know how you could be of that opinion after this game, but to each his own. Especially with how good T-Will is looking.

The question isn't if Fred is a great pick. He might be the key to our offense this year. He's a STUD. The question will always be, could we have gotten him later and still picked up another player. Doesn't matter now, but a DL or someone like Eric Reid along with Fred would have been sweet. TWILL is also legit. Great pic, and can't wait to watch him get better and better. But, to go through the draft and the entire off season without picking up some DL help was a HUGE mistake.

Of course it was. After all, didn't we all know Rat, Spencer, Crawford and Bass couldn't be counted on at all this year? Not to mention Ware would be medically challenged as well.

This kid looks like the best lineman weve had since Larry Allen.

After pushing that pile for the TD, he needs a nickname -- "Bull Moose" or something. Geez what a strong dude.

this draft is starting to look really strong. You just have to love Frederick pushing RB over goal line. He is already my favorite Center since Stepnoski.

I can't remember the last time we had some many rookies contribute right away and excel.

It's still early in the season, but so far things are looking up.

That's just totally awesome!

A rookie C that is almost instantly in the top third on his position in the league, will always be a good value pick as a mid or late first rounder. I didn't quite see it like that at the time he was picked. But now I realize. Good Cs are truly hard to find.

Also a very nice contribution from Hanna.

"FredBeard, you said that once I decided to follow you, You would block for me all the way; But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times on the field, There is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you the most, you should leave me.

FredBeard replied, " I would never, never leave you during your times of short yardage and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."

- The Legend of FredBeard

Rofl... This borders on blasphemy but I like it anyway. :D

Watching Frederick move 3 grown men like he was pushing a grocery cart in the produce aisle made me curious as to how strong he actually is.

Read that he has a 770 pound squat.

I am liking the whole OL period. Waters brings a little nasty and Frederick has that too.

Thank you for the context. Some posters miss that in their attempt to revise history and make those disagreed with the pick at the time and at the moment haters.

You could just see his lower body strength, and his smarts about football going til the whistle blows making sure Randle gets in. "Mammoth"
