oh man....not buzzards and crows....means we are dead men walking
something happened or didn't happen at halftime. I just returned from halftime snacks and begin to see mess all over the place on the field.

But I was looking forward to seeing Trevon against his brother when we play the Texans!! Maybe he would've actually played more physical!! Or maybe, he would've "ole'd" him to 4 TD's!! LOL
Hadn't thought about that possibility. With the way his brother has been catching the ball lately it's likely it could have been a long game for Trevon

How can we expect the players to care this season when it's been obvious that the owner doesn't?
Jerry hasn't given them any help but expects them to play handicapped.
This team has lost Faith in MM and Jerry

Even i anticipated that the Cowboys would have to change up their defensive strategy for the 2nd half.

You just knew Shanahan was going to break the code and come out with an answer in the 2nd half.

There are many facets to being an NFL Head Coach and it's difficult to finds a coach that is good at everything.

They have to be excellent talent evaluators. just as important, they need to know how to use that talent to the maximum benefit of the team.

They have to be excellent personnel managers, assigning tasks and goals to his coaching staff, teaching them how to teach the players, installing his gameplan and ensuring that everybody understands their assignments.

An NFL coach has to be an excellent strategist, know how to attack his opponent, their weaknesses. He has to be innovative, develop new ideas. He has to have a plan, a philosophy on how to win in the NFL today.

They have to be excellent game time coaches, quick and successful decision makers in pressure situations.

Applying these standards to those HC's with multiple SB rings, we see that the majority of them were great in all areas. Where McCarthy stands among them seems a pretty one-sided debate at this particular point in time.
Good post! This is particular true when you see an HC with the same team 5 or more years ( Garrett was an exception ). They know everything about their team, from the waterboy to the GM, the strengths and weaknesses of every player, and their impact on the playbook. This is what made your Jimmy Johnsons and Tom Landry great.

It's why playing Belichick, Andy Reid and/or Shanahan you have to out coach them.......X amount of talent won't be enough.
