Trevon Diggs going through his first week of weight bearing activities

You do realize how many fans have a problem with Diggs right? It's A LOT. But he can totally redeem himself by his on field play, coupled with transforming his image off it. The team is cooked if we are ok with bad play and poor behavior. Time to hold the team accountable. I'm willing to give the new staff a chance to sort it all out.

The reporter was doing his job. Now who knows who was right or wrong on the call. All I know is, he looked like a punk after the game and didn't represent the team right. He did apologize so there's that. I hope he gets healthy so we can see him shine . No excuses.
I think this is where fans get messed up (and reporters, too). They don't understand assignments, so they blame players for something that is not their fault. Football takes everyone carrying out their assignment and if there's a breakdown, it can make the others who are doing their job look bad.

Of course they don't lol. Adds up.
Well, they have a problem with him being injured right now. I'd much rather have him on the field than sidelined while Elam or Carson, etc., plays instead. Our secondary struggled last year because Bland and Diggs were both missing games due to injury. We were not a better team when either of them was out.

A lot of fans have problems with a lot of our players. I don't think that is criteria for believing that they are bad players. Are they imperfect? Well, yeah.

Yep BUT the player was wrong to cross the line. He even admitted it. So for me, it's over. But the real issue is, can we fix the culture with a player that's fragile emotionally when he's criticized? It's a fair question. I know it's moot. He's likely not going anywhere. My hope is he has a full recovery and plays out of his mind. But we cannot have another incident like that. On the field, we need him to tackle and finish. If he can't or won't, then we shall see.

30 years . When's enough enough?
I can understand being frustrated with that. But I think we blame the players and the coaches too much, when clearly the front office is the problem.

Put Diggs on a team like Kansas City and he has a couple of rings by now and no one is complaining about some tackles that he missed or something he said to a reporter when he was upset.

This is the difference between the pretenders and the contenders. Don't get me wrong, l like Diggs but it's time to cut ties with the often injured CB.
Yup.

It’s gonna happen.

His knee is jacked and you don’t regrow knee cart.

That video is basically propaganda, likely released by his agent.

I’m curious how he responds. If he doesn’t respond well this season then let him go. He can’t help being injured but if he attacks his rehab with more intensity this time and makes it back, I’d like to keep him to see how he pans out.

I’m more concerned where his head is at and how thick his skin is. When he went at that reporter that was a low point for me as far as my opinion of him. But let’s see what happens this year. We’re better with him healthy than without him.

I don't get it, either. It's all based on some bad tackle attempts, I guess. Last year, even coming off the ACL tear, QBs avoided throwing to his side as much as they could, choosing to pick on the rookie or whatever we put on the other side.

I looked forward to seeing all three of our corners (Diggs, Bland and Lewis) on the field together before Diggs had the setback. I think a lot of our fans blame the setback on Diggs, but I don't know if that is fair either.

I don't get why two of our best players on defense are so disliked by many fans. I mean, it seems to be based on Diggs being hurt (which he can't help) and sometimes not going all out to make a tackle and on Parsons giving his opinions on social media.
You mean like the hate our quarterback gets. I also remember the trade CeeDee guys as well on the board. I get it 30 years of losing is frustrating so you blame the best players. I remember the Romo sucks and trade Ware guys as well.

An image was built up about Diggs when he missed the tackle on Kittle in the San Francisco playoff game, so any time he misses a tackle or is perceived not to be trying hard to make a tackle, it is used against him.
He didn't miss the tackle, he turned down the tackle. Big difference.

And that wasn't the only time. He routinely does it, and he also doesn't try very hard to get off blocks.

And I'm sorry, but "Deion did it too" isn't an excuse. He's not Deion. (And actually it wasn't okay when Deion did it, either.)

His agent knows Dallas wants to Post June cut him.

So put out a video of him doing basic excercises.
Yeah possibly! Lol, I just want him to stay as committed to it as he's committed to dating all these Hollywood girls

Tough position to play if you lose some of your speed and agility from injuries. Not counting on anything, but he is a smart player with a knack for intercepting the ball so might challenge him to develop that even more. Just hope we don’t have another Kevin Smith situation… what might been.

I still don't what is said about a 30 year old calendars. I'm not going to believe those sea gulls took the last two Coronas.

Deez nuts was HIM letting anyone know that dared objectively criticize him was off limits. This was a drastic change. Before that incident, and before he got paid, I saw a hard worker and a guy that was getting better . Now his attitude looks off. Maybe he's changed . These fluff videos come out every off season with guys rehabbing from something. Selling hopium like it's crack. I hope the guy comes out this year and has a rebirth. After his last two injuries he might not last much longer. Seems injury prone.
Tape salt tablets on his forehead and let's go...

He was playing pretty well last year before the setback. He may not have been completely healthy, but I was pleased with how he was playing coming off the tear when so many of our players have needed more time to get back to form.
Pleased? He ranked 91 out of 116 CBs in the NFL. He was terrible and not 100%. It's not even clear he can ever be what he was 2-3 years ago, particularly after his most recent injury.

If he's not making big plays or locking down one side of the field, he's not worth the contract.

Mine as well just get to camp and see how rehab is going at this point. If he can't help early in the season he goes on IR freeing up the roster spot. If he returns and plays well, great if not there is significant cap savings in 2026 in moving on.

Yup. His base is fully guaranteed now.
Cutting him pre june 1st is a negative hit of 5.3mil
Cutting him post June 1st is a 600k savings-with the understanding next year there's dead cap.

Only savings would be by a trade, which at this point isn't going to happen since he can't really pass a physical nor is his trade value that high

I don't think he has any guarantees at all in 2026, even for injury.
