Why did it take so long to do the surgery? I know they have to wait for the swelling to go down but it seems it’s way to long.
Probably do "rehab" on muscles around the knee (especially the quad) to help improve recovery, especially if they want to start weight bearing rehab early.

The thing that is often overlooked about injuries is that these athletes took DECADES for their muscles and tendons to arrive at the point where they are before the injury. Even after the injury is 100% healed it takes time for the body to return to full strength, explosion and full range of motion. For some guys it can be years before they get back that pre-injury level. And unfortunately some never get there..
I strongly suspect that could be the case with Tony Pollard, Terence Steele, and Donovan Wilson in varying degrees.

If AR can come back from an achilles, why can't Trevon come back from his ACL? lol

That is today's NFL ... Emmitt would have just continued getting his 1,000 + and suite up the next season.

I am not a doctor or any medical expert. But now a new technology for ACL surgery has made some good progress. Try to search BEAR ACL, you will find there is a new way to help healing the ACL without taking a tendon from other body part. After I understand what the BEAR ACL has done, I think that could be the best way to fix ACL.

Yep. Also let the swelling from the injury go down prior to cutting him open.
