Actually, it's not ignorant.

There has NEVER... I repeat NEVER been a QB, 8 years in, over 30, win their first Super Bowl with the team that drafted them.

N.E.V.E.R.
with the team that drafted them....lol

Cowboys have sucked.... the past 28years......

Purdy absolutely had beaten Lance out, and it wasnt even close. Lance was horrible. I watched his last preseason game and holy crap ws he bad. It was immediately after that game that the niners started looking to trade him.

This is not subjective, this is facts. Not only that, had Lance shown almost anything, dont you think one of the teams that is in QB hell wouldnt have stepped up and gave more than Dallas to let Lance take over and see what he had? It is pretty rare for a qb drafted as high as he was to basically be given away so soon.
Weird. He was 10/15 with 1 TD in his second to last preseason game against Las Vegas. I saw his Las Vegas game on the YouTube and the offensive line was a sieve. Many times they were in the backfield before he could get through his first progression. In his last preseason game against the Broncos, there's a video of someone saying he looked poised. I watched that video and he looked far from "horrible". Of course, there were plays he didn't look good because the defense will make plays and he's also primarily playing with second and third stringers. I watched both of these games a while ago.

So again, it appears that "holy crap was he bad" is just your opinion.

Also, like I said, if the 49ers found their young QB who they think can be the long term starter and franchise QB, they're not going to spend time developing another guy anymore despite how much they traded for him, considering how green he was. That is a judgement call, and that is why Sam Darnold was brought in and also why he no longer is on the 49ers. He was there just to serve as an experienced backup for Purdy. And that rendered Trey to 3rd string where he didn't want to be and that's why he requested to be traded.

Playing against rookies and undrafted free agents mind you.

And?

He played in 2 preseason games. He was 22/33 16.5 ATT/G 66.7 PCT 285 PYDS 8.6 PAVG 142.5 PYDS/G 2 PTD.

How is that "horrible"? It isn't.
I would hope year 4 Trance absolutely dominates rookies and UDFA in preseason running a very vanilla defense.

But you said he barely played?

I mean, why do you keep changing your story to something that contradicts what you said previously?

Regardless, he was injured for two years and also COVID. So, technically, it's not really year four, but year two going into year three, plus all the lack of experience you said he has as an "athlete playing QB" in high school and college for a few years.

The fact that he's played decently with such little experience is actually a positive for him.

I know we do. That's not the point.

But replacing mediocrity with mediocrity...what's the point?
No...that isn;t what you are doing. You are trading KNOWN mediocrity for MAYBE mediocrity. Maybe better. You don't know at this point until he actually does it.

Sounds like you are desperately hoping it is...or worse. Waiting for the "told ya so" moment.

So you are saying we know Dak is not good and Trance could be better?

What's odd ??

Clearly Dak is in his last year with the boys .
Lance is the future .
The Jones boys want to embrace that .
Why talk to Dak in TC/PS when you no longer want his stench on your team .

Its pretty obvious whats going on .

The only ones having a hard time grasping is the DakDavidians
Why not cut him?

Trey talks about QB2 battle, and how he has learned over the past year. And how things are different between Dallas and SF.

"Lance has grown close with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and other players on the team as he gets settled into Dallas and settled into a shot at rewriting what his underperforming career has been to this point. With just two months sitting between now and Lance taking the field at training camp to begin that rewrite, he feels he's at the best he's been in his NFL career."

Sounds like Dak is taking him under his wings. This is what I am looking forward to the most in TC and the PS games.

You know that old saying, " Keep your friends close and your enemies closer".

Anybody doesn’t mean worse either.

I don’t have to “prefer” anything.

Dallas will lose with Dak regardless of what you or I “prefer”.
it doesn't mean better. what you said, it means just different. with indifference to better or worse.

and Dak lives in your head 24x7x60x60.....here you go again.
