so what does money have to do with it? money has zero to do with it.
we have had money to spend on FA, but didn't. so even more money is not going to get jerry to sign any real FAs that can make a difference.

and in your mind, if we suck with less money paid to the QB, somehow that should make us feel better? how does that make sense? unless you are an accountant.

I'm surprised...and not surprised... that I have to explain this very basic concept to you. I will try to go slow.

You have adamantly claimed his demise. Emphatically.

I have merely advised a wait and see and be optimistically hopeful attitude.

If you still cannot fathom the difference there's nothing else I can do. If you still want me to "eat crow" on my assessment, I will try to figure out the best way to do that for you.

I don't care about FA, if they sign people ok, if not oK, nothing matters as long as we have the current QB, nothing will change. We will be at home every year watching other teams play in the big games. All I am saying is why pay someone who can't do the job. I would rather roll with a rookie every 4 years than pay this clown one more dollar. Even is this dude played for Vet Min and we put all pro players at every single 21 other positions, it wouldn't matter, he would still fail because that is who he is.

I think it's important for the members of this website to stay in touch with the fact that Lance is competing with Rush and not with Dak. Dak isn't likely going anywhere else this year but with the Cowboys. What happens beyond that is anyone's guess to make as they see fit. Stay tuned,

I'm sure Cooper Rush is prepared to fight for his job just as much as Lance will do his best to earn that #2 backup QB spot in the weeks ahead. TC will be quite an adventure in that respect for sure. I'm anxious for that to happen. It'll certainly add an exciting element to TC this year.

I would feel infinitely better about Lance if they could sign him to a very modest 2 or 3 year extension. Give him time to develop and show something.

It really is a good quarterback room. We talk about Dak helping out Trey. Cooper seems like the selfless type, I wouldn't doubt that he is also contributing.

I feel a little sad for Cooper. All he has ever done is what was asked of him. He understands his role on the team. He probably understands how it ends for backup quarterbacks. I'm sure he also understands Trey's potential trajectory and what it would mean for him.

We all have our particular strengths and talents. However, it is inevitable that we eventually discover their limit somewhere along the way. Accepting the fact that others may exceed our limits is always tough on the ego and I think it takes character to deal with it properly.

Any quarterback willing to help improve his main competitor on the team on the behalf of that team should inspire all his teammates.
