it wasn't written as hope. his comments are often written as statements.

his logic has been disproved. Lance has been in the NFL 4 years. and he was a 3rd stringer on cowboys and niners.
he has shown he doesn't belong.
he is not going to blossom into anything. he has shown zero ability being an NFL QB.

but I digress. I can agree that I should not ridicule.
Dak has been a starter since 2016.
He has shown he doesn't belong. Many of us knew this in 2016, but he still got the job and has made hundreds of millions of dollars to choke in every big game.
He has also shown that NFL talent evaluation is pretty inept.
So, like Tom Brady, who wasn't drafted until the sixth round, just because he hasn't gotten a chance doesn't mean anything.

Moore was an exceptional quarterback, and was raised by a coach. His offensive mindset is one of understanding how to get the most out of the quarterback position, and he knows how to design plays that help receivers find weak spots in the secondary.
Trey Lance has all of the tools to be a NFL quarterback, and he shows that he can and that he wants to be successful.
Paired with Moore the Trey Lance trade might become one of Jerry's better decisions. Moore could utilize all of Trey's skills and make him into the next great quarterback of the Cowboys.
It could be a great fit.
I thought you were 100% Cooper Rush hype.

Lance is the mortal foe of your chosen one.

That makes me distrust your motivations with this post.

I said Cooper Rush is better than Dak.
He makes the Cowboys better.
I didn't say he was the answer, but that he is better than Dak.
And I was right.

It's not a question of Lance being better than Dak.

For the money Dallas is paying Dak, Dallas could have had Lance PLUS Henry PLUS Barkley PLUS another quality lineman or two. That combination wins more games than Dak.

Sadly it's a moot point.

The point is that no one can take the Cowboys head coach job saddled with Dak Prescott and succeed.
Trey Lance, however, opens possibilities that could make hiring Kellen Moore the perfect fit.
Lance has the tools, and with Moore's tutelage he could be what Kyle Shanahan envisioned when he drafted him.
Agree again.

I didn’t mind the trade (and still don’t in concept). That said, I’ve seen enough from Lance. I wouldn’t hitch my wagon in thinking he’s gonna be our “next” franchise QB.

Kellen Moore has been mentioned many times as the potential favorite for the HC spot for Dallas. I think it's somewhat doubtful that he'd leave Philly to return to Jerry and his confused mental state, when push comes to shove. He's with a much more successful team at present. Leaving wouldn't be the most prudent thing for him to consider. Evidently, Lance might possibly require considerably more time to develop into a potential starter, or even as a capable backup, imho. It's also possible that our FO wouldn't want to pay Lance what they'd have to pay.

I actually think Lincoln Riley can help Trey Lance. Riley dramatically improved Jalen Hurts.
