Trey Lance could be a star with Kellen Moore

Lance shows convincing evidence that it might take years for him to develop into a starting QB.

Of course, that's assuming he ever would. Kellen Moore couldn't perform miracles for that fella.

If Kellen told Trey he will no longer be a QB but a gadget player who can run the ball and occasionally play WR.

MAYBE.

Otherwise Trey would probably be better off going to the CFL or other Football leagues to get starting reps and practice. He will not get much on an NFL team except for training camp and preseason. During the regular season nobody is going to trot him out there knowing he throws dumb passes and looks clueless at times.

Let him get exp elsewhere, It might be the only thing that really helps him.

Look at what Moore has done for the Eagles QB/offense.
.... shouldn't this be "look at what Saquan has done for the Eagles QB/offense? Personnel and talent make everyone look good.

First of all, much respect to your post.

With that said... my question was, do you think that the specific poster here knows more about evaluating NFL quarterback talent than NFL scouts, coaches and GMs as they stated they do?
Hmm...that's a very specific question huh? If I "dodged" it, it would be because I have no interest or thoughts about this person (I'm not even sure who it was, really! I'd have to go back and see) versus NFL.

I would hazard to say...no?

But you see...this whole place is just a place for opinions and fan fellowship. I have seen some incredibly stupid takes (like Romo haters saying he was lazy, unmotivated, and team mates hated him- when I asked for sources, it was said "it was well known"). I mean just idiotic!

I have also seen some assessments that were remarkably adept. Sometimes better/more accurate than any NFL personnel or media analyst.

I do not look for anyone to prove their worth and value against NFL professionals. I do try to separate opinions from facts. If you make what seems like a factual statement (Romo's teammates hated him), I would expect some 1st party evidence. Who said it? Or otherwise admit it was an opinion and you can't actually prove it.

I do admit to one thing...and I'd like to roll it back some. When people bully HARD on someone's opinion or assessment, and tell them "you know nothing about football go back and learn", I sometimes ask them what's THEIR NFL team and which super trophy did YOU win".

For some reason, nobody here has their own team or trophy. Weird huh!
