That's the problem with Dallas. We fall for the guys who seemingly give us a quick win but stink when it comes to the last 5% but fail to do the ground work first.

Why not give Lance a try even if it ends in a catastrophic first season? Use the time to build the squad, draft more QBs and see if it clicks.

No more of the same, I want change!
Its a business, dont let the media fool you about Dak. Until you have a QB in place that could rival Dak. He is the starter.

Draft a good quarterback early and develop Lance at the same time..
Let the competition begin.
Thanks and bye to Dak and his entourage

Here's another. Threaten to cut unless he agrees to a sign and trade. Whomever trades for him will have to negotiate the contract together without the Cowboys, plus they have to give up a 1st round pick. A lot of smart OCs out there think they can turn water into wine.
LOL, so take a page out of Sean Payton and Russell Wilson. That looks as tho it will end well. SMH.

People’s heads are going to explode when they extend Dak. He played not that great but our Defense gave up 40 points. Even if he was on I don’t think we could keep pace. If we won that game niners would have eaten our lunch. This Defense got figured out. At least egirls lost also.

Yeah i don’t get the people that think they can trade Dak. Especially, since he has a no trade clause. Why would he agree to renegotiate that and why would any team in its right mind pay him and give up draft capital? If the Cowboys decide to move on, there only option is to cut him post June 1st. Dak is not going to give up that leverage.

Dak may be willing to be reasonable on an extension to stay in Dallas…who knows.

Correct but the post says June 1st trade. Hence why I asked.

Guess I could have added that I knew the cut part but I assumed that was understood.
this ladies and gentlemen is an example of how to respond to a post without confrontation and condecension. Well done lad!

Cool. They're both in Shanahan offenses that get guys open and play with far more offensive talent than the Cowboys have.

All I Know is that I watched Matt Stafford and Jared Goff pinging throw after throw into tight windows downfield with defenders hanging on their receivers. And whatever else is true, Trey Lance at least has the arm strength to make those throws and Dak doesn't.

I think he might have the arm for it, but its not always correctly connected to brain.

You don’t extend him.. absolutely not. If he has to play out the season at 60 mil so be it. Just run everything back with new coaches. Restructure to get under the cap.
Make it a qb competition in camp
exactly I agree what's the difference if you extended him and he got 55 to 60 or you just simply pay him the 60 and use this as a bridge gap year to the next qb and coaches... need easier transition.

I mean it's likely with all the bonus money and what he's gonna want in AV salary that he's gonna be in the 55 to 60 range So what does it matter if we keep him on one last year or extended... So why not make him a lame duck quarterback make him play one more year under the same deal or it makes him mad enough he removes the no trade clause and then we get something for him... It's possible if Jerry says no we're not extending you you're gonna play this year for us that he gets mad removes the no trade clause and allows us to trade him for some really good draft picks...

I agree assuming we're gonna get a new coaching staff we should keep Prescott but only under his same contract.. I mean I could be wrong but I don't see that big a relief extending him...

Technically they gave up 35, and the offense put them in position for 14, so I'd say that Dak and company contributed to 14 to 17 of those points. But I agree, Dak sucks in the play offs, he sucks in big games and it's time to move on. Now the defense on the other hand, we need new blood. We need new coaching,, we just need a lot of new things here.

nobody knows what kind of work ethic Lance has which is important to a QBs development. A recent article on Love by Tyler Dunne addressed that specifically in the article. This writer along with former Packer beat writer Bob Mcginn cover a lot of things Packer related but also write articles around the league. here is just a small snippet of that article from Go Long with Tyler Dunne.

..... Love was always a quarterback who’d do whatever it takes to reach this state of X ‘n O conviction. Work ethic is no cliché at this position. It’s central to ascension. It’s how Josh Allen goes from completing 52.8 percent of his passes in Year 1 to 69.2 percent in Year 3 and how Patrick Mahomes wins a Super Bowl after losing his best weapon, while other outrageously talented quarterbacks (think: Kyler Murray) need homework clauses implemented in their contracts or disappear completely (think: JaMarcus Russell).
........
He became obsessed with the minutiae of the position, right down to simulating plays vs. air with private coach Steve Calhoun in California. All the magic vs. Dallas? He repped those Texas two-steps. Repeatedly. Alone. When nobody believed he was worth a damn. And when the Packers handed Rodgers a $150 million contract? Love didn’t wallow in self-pity and demand a trade. He poured more hours into his personal growth, synchronizing his footwork and improving his accuracy to guarantee the Packers saw a new QB when Rodgers ditched OTAs in 2022....

I totally get the "anybody but Dak" narrative now. But everything about Lance is pure speculation. He couldn't stay healthy in San Fran and was ineffective when he did play while surrounded by better coaches and a better supporting cast than he would have here.

And the way the entire team played yesterday even a great game by a QB would not have mattered.

I think the coaching staff needs a purge first, then let's worry about Dak and everything else that went wrong.
It would be the second purge of a coaching staff during Dak’s tenure.

Cut Dak. Start Lance. If he’s terrible, great. Nets a high draft pick and a top QB prospect.

Its unfortunate Lance never even got mop up duty this season. Not sure if that was to protect future trade value or protect a teammates fragile psyche.
Third-sting QBs don't have much trade value..
