Perfect chance for Jerry to offer Dak $35 mil / year extension. That would give the team lots of salary cap room while still be enough for Dak. Dak is good. Very good, but he needs help. He needs to help the team now. If he refuses, make him a post June 1st cut since he can't be traded due to his no-trade current contract clause.

Daniel Jones got 40mil AAV. Dak nor his agent would ever consider 35mil AAV.
Besides, with restructuring the cap hits never exceed the AAV till the end.

In your scenario, he'll be a June 1st cut

Trade Parsons to San Diego. For the number 5 pick, take a quarterback, then develop Lance.

Since they'll miss out on Maye/Williams, what QB do you have in mind. To me, there's decent drop off potential/short term ability after the first two.

Hope for the best but DO NOT count on Lance being the answer. Do not forget the niners are not dummies - Jerry is the dummy.
Draft a QB or bring in a vet who has balls of steel (a Nick Foles type) and is capable of playing under pressure. This team would look totally different with a capable QB.

Do you think the we try to bring Lance along during the offseason and try to get him into the starting lineup for next year? If not week 1 then if DAK struggles throughout the season?
If you don’t try to do that; then you just did a disservice to the player, Lance and the team. You have a talent so you have to develop it to succeed.

You’re not gonna get a haul for Parsons. He’s a young elite player you should build around. But he needs help. A good DC can find a way to build around him.

No. If Dallas wants a top 3 pick in next year's draft, yeah, start Trey Lance. I also don't think Dak struggles in the regular season. He'll put up numbers. Where he and this team struggle is from behind in bigger games. This team and Dak seem to struggle when under pressure, or playing from behind. At 49ers, Bills, from the 6 yard line against Philly. They fold.

Fire Mccarthy
Get Harbaugh
If Quinn leaves you trade Parsons to him fir 2 1s
Tell Dak he can sit on his *** or be traded and trade him
Pick QB in rd 1
Get DT, C, RB, LB, safety
Watch out, I suggested trading Parsons and got attacked on multiple fronts. Frankly, I’m sick of his talk and then barely showing up the end of the season and making zero impact in the biggest game of the year. Okay so he’s getting held, the league has basically told you they aren’t going to call it’s what’s the point of paying 28m to a guy who is allowed to be held and otherwise makes little to no impact esp if someone else was willing to give us good picks?

Dak aint goin' anywhere. He's going to get a fat contract extension this offseason and will be our starting QB moving forward. Prepare yourselves.
This is true! The best we can hope for is a discount so we can grab pieces in FA, but I doubt that happens he says he wants to win but kills that cap space like he’s broke! How bout play for another team and see if you get all them endorsements.

If Quinn leaves? He should be canned after yesterday. With you on Harbaugh but he will want power. It was the reason why he was ousted in San Francisco, which was a mistake in hindsight. Prescott has a no trade clause so he ain't going where he doesn't want to go.

Yes, big changes are needed. Even if we had linebackers I’m not sure if that would’ve helped last night.
We get absolutely out schemed in the playoffs. There's no way that was due to a talent deficit. We also get out played. The combination of the two is brutal.

How do you know Lance couldn’t become Jordan Love with the right coaching. Early in the season Love was considered horrible.

Why would the chargers move on from Herbert? I also think Caleb Williams is gonna tank depending on where he lands

I do like Maye but this whole business of thinking it’s the qb and change that we’re all better is just dumb

We are more than a QB problem away . Every post season our trenches 1 side or the other get gashed usually both.

I’m down with a qb change but not without a LB that is like Fred Warner type and an Aron Donald type DT

Mike McCarthy offense is stale and predictable even with a better QB

It’s probably past time for the youth movement in Dallas on the OL as well while they played ok yesterday relying on them moving forward will get same results

Hes not a starter. Could be a decent backup.

You have go get a top one in the draft
