Trick Plays

Should Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore and Bones Fassel run any trick plays in 2022?

What say you?

If so, which trick plays would you like to see?
Trick plays take many reps from practice.....with today's practice time rules, you need to be careful not to waste time.....that said, having a couple in your back pocket can pay dividends.

Micah Parsons on offense...

Remember Bo Jackson (225 pounds) running over 'The Boz' at the goalline back in the day.

Imagine Parsons (~250 pounds) with his 4.3 forty speed and some poor sole on defense has to try to tackle him 1 on 1...

I can see a fake FG where the left wing runs behind the line and into the end zone with our holder throwing it to him...that doesn't take much practice time and is very effective.

Instead of becoming masters at the occasional trick play, I'd rather us become masters at misdirection. I'd rather every play create some doubt than to have the other team worried about a potential fake punt.
I preferred the 'direction' play without the 'mis' back when Emmitt would run the lead draw behind Larry Allen at LG and LA would do the arm motion and 'choo choo' indicating they're going to run behind him...

Dak can't even do the QB sneak correctly and you want trick plays by slow processing panic in the pocket QB 1?????
GL with that........:muttley:
I'm curious about your opinion of Romo when he played QB for the Cowboys.

Trick plays on 4th down running a fake punt or field goal. They catch us, the fans, off guard each & every time. And when they work, all havoc breaks lose lol.

An occasional trick play is great but we should focus on running basically the 2016 offense if you want Dak and this team to flourish

Well...yeah. Id take that. "I'm coming right here. You can be here when I get here, if you want to be." That was a different deal, wasn't it? Larry Allen was strong...like a man among boys. Emmitt had an ability to slide off tackles. It looked like he was never hit squarely.

Even back in the day, I knew we were watching something special. Not sure I understood how special, though.

I will give you mine - I thought Romo didn't have a care in the world. I never thought he was concerned about winning and was more or less just going through the motions. I thought he liked the spotlight and fame the job brought him more than he liked playing the game. He famously said that if he never won a championship he wouldn't be bothered by it at all. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, as it should have. Dak appears to have a bit more passion, but I don't think he possesses the talent Romo had.

In my opinion Dak and Romo are very similar. Both were / are good at putting up flashy stats, but there's zero confidence it will translate over to competing for championships. Dak needs everything around him to be perfect, and he needs too much around him to help conceal his weaknesses.
I actually read that. First book ever front to back

I'm with you on the misdirection and doubt. Problem with KM is, he likes to let 'em know exactly what he's going to do, especially in the red zone. Like coming to the line with an empty backfield. No play action, no fakes, just let 'em know you're going to pass.
Then get sacked. LOL

I think it will be better served if they come up schemes to attack the weaknesses of opposing offense or defense as well as have plan A, Plan B and plan C when things dont go well ….
