Glad Troy said that. I think Dak deserves some praise. A 4th round pick who never lineup under center coming to the NFL to run a pro set offense and lead his team to a 12-2 mark. I expect most rookies even top pick QB to come in and struggle and have a lot of turnovers in the process but Dak has avoided those big mistakes and yet gets hammered with all this dink and dunk stuff? He is moving the offense, avoiding the big negatives and the offense if putting up points (4th over all in the league) Yeah Troy like what he is seeing from Dak.... Me too

Dak is extremely poised and shows a lot of intangibles. Troy is absolutely correct about that. I hope Dak fixes his mechanical flaws in the offseason and is not Alex smith his entire career.

loved him at State and was very happy to get him in the late 4th. Really good value, I thought.

Did I know he was going to do what he's done? Uh, no. But I knew the leadership was there. I knew his team mates would run through a wall for him, and I knew he had an "it" factor that would help him in the NFL.

But this is beyond what anyone could have imagined.

Dude is just a winner. Has been at every stage. It has everything to do with his approach, his desire, and an uncanny ability to draw team mates in and give them his confidence and swagger.

He won games at MS State that they had absolutely no business winning. It was all Dak and how much better he can get the whole team to play. It was really something to watch on Saturdays.

His athleticism helps him, but it is his head and heart that make him what he is... and those things help make him a superior leader and draws people to him like flies. Even Troy felt it when they met... and that was before Dak had 1 win in the NFL. Now with his record as a starting QB, I bet his team hangs on his every word.

Best case scenario for Cowboy fans. Throw in Zeke and the rest of this great draft and it is beyond our wildest dreams.

He has 1 back injury that can be considered serious.

So he didn't miss all those games? Or was he using minor injuries as an excuse to loaf?

(It's neither, he's been seriously injured multiple times. You don't miss that much time playing because of trivial boo-boos.)

Well if we're all going to gush over Troy's comments on Dak (deservedly so) and believe every word he says because he is a HOF QB who played the position, for the Cowboys--

Then you cannot ignore his comments (or Roger's) over the years on Tony that he absolutely has carried the team virtually his entire career and could've won Super Bowls if Jerry would've given him the necessary tools which he has repeatedly said.

Remember - he is 15-3 with this offensive line.

No cherry picking allowed.

This post (and any like it) is why this thread got moved to the QB Zone. Why must one side of the QB debate always bring it up when on of the QB's has nice things said about him?

The article says monumentally good things about our starting QB and now it has been exiled where a ton of people will miss it. Troy saying Dak is the most impressive young player he's ever been around at the QB position is huge. Just huge. It speaks to everything that makes Prescott such a transcendent talent. What makes him better than just about every rookie QB that has come into the league.

And now, only a fraction of the fans will see it.

I understand why the board administration would want to keep another long *** QB argument thread out of the zone... but this article should have been about Dak and Dak only. It is a shame it got stuck over here.
