"Once a guy buys a pet monkey, the wheels have fallen off".

You must be kidding.

This place is insufferable sometimes. This is one of those times.

The monkey has nothing to do with anything.

Its not that he owns a monkey or anything to do with choice of pets.

Its the fact that the monkey is in the locker. How many of you would be allowed let a monkey loose at work?

I agree with the OP here. It's not the monkey, per sec, but it's a symptom of the level of distraction we had here this season. Injuries. Contracts. Monkeys. Suspensions. Unnecessary RB drama. It all added up to a lack of focus.

We might have stabilized eventually with Romo healthy and if we somehow fixed the takeaway mystery, but it was not to be.

Drives me bananas.

I think monkeys can have better posts than some on here....was going to say some posters may be monkeys, but don't want to insult the monkeys....:lmao:.....

Didn't Michael Jackson's career take a nose dive after he bought a monkey?

Ever see that picture in the "power of makeup" email that used to go around. If I could, I would try to find it and post it.
It had stars before and after make-up.
the one of Michael Jackson before, then the one after make-up was the lady ape from plant of the apes....

Do we know the monkey was in the locker room. Has there been any pictures or tweets of it.
If so then, yes, that should not have been allowed.
Was he involved in team meetings? Some of the plays sure looks as if he was....

This was funny when it was posted in early November, now, not so much.

The point Troy was trying to make, is that once a guy buys a pet monkey, his wheels have fallen off. You can see with Dez Bryant that his head wasn't in the game. He had a lot of drops and mental mistakes, even if you give him a pass for his injuries. Something is rotten there.

I think you completely missed Troy's point and twisted it into what you wanted it to be.

It would have been pretty cool if Oronde Gadsden and the monkey got matching suits made in the locker room.

Officials in DeSota, where Dez resides, have already announced that the monkey Dez had has been turned over to an accredited sanctuary where he can be cared for properly.

Thanks for the info. This will dampen some agendas...

Hopefully they have TV's there so he can watch the games and wave his Cowboys flag. He would be a better fan than most.......seriously, he would...

Troy is a pro's pro and I am sure he looks at this team with disgust when he compares it to his high standards.

It's amazing how concocted stories get lives of their own around here, even long after they have any relevance in fact.

They say some people can't handle a big contract. Dez Bryant is in the same league as other elite WRs with his salary only, because he isn't as talented or committed to his skill set. Often injured, slow or just plain dumb, lazy Prima Donna crack baby with a million dollar necklace, ear rings, a monkey, he can't run accurate routes and drops balls.

What could be rotten about him.

It took a nose dive after questionable actions with little boys. For many people, it is okay because he was Michael Jackson.

Lmao a monkey make/ a player's wheels fall off get out of here. The choice of pet got nothing to do with a player's game or performance.

Yes, Jackson gets a free pass from many, but Dez can't even say "nice catch" to a team mate, in his passionate manner, without getting ridiculed he is angry on the sidelines.
