The one word theme we heard post game yesterday and even the day after from Jerry, Mike McCarthy, Dak, Micah and Cedee, and anyone else talking after that 44-19 beat down home loss was…”unacceptable”. Yeah, Blah, blah, blah.

Cowboys‘ fans reaction should be: “Oh really? Because last January, after the most embarrassing playoff loss in Cowboys history, that’s what you also told us then. Why don’t you start showing us instead of telling us.”

If that playoff loss to the 7th seeded packers in January was really that “unacceptable”, then why do we still have the same GM, EVP, head coach, starting QB, star WR, and the so called generational defensive talent that surrendered a collective 92 points at home in the last two home games? The obvious and truthful answer to that question is: Because losing IS acceptable here.

Let me put it another way: If losing were so unacceptable, why do we have the same people in charge year after year after 28 years? Yeah, I know, that same guy in charge also owns the team, and the coaches and players he’s chosen to pay the most have sucked too. But the guy at the top and his DNA entitled son never admit fault or receive any accountability. THAT is what has most created and contributed to this fat, bloated and lazy culture that basically winks and offers platitudes after getting their posterior shot off at home.

As far as I’m concerned, the most important people associated with this entire organization have clearly made losing completely acceptable. Because nothing changes with the people most responsible.
you know it's accepted, every response to a tough question is Jerry being positive and hopeful, nothing good is happening here, it's time to try something different

Let them feel that way, and if you notice, they're the ones that are saying the SEASON is over etc when we lose, as if us real knowing fans didn't know it already!!!!! Can't be like Jerry with this team, we've been let down too much, if nothing changes, nothing changes

He’s trying to discredit you personally cause he doesn’t like the message. Like a fan needs to have been a talent scout to offer critical thoughts and an opinion .
Thanks, I wasn't sure because the content of my post really wasn't a commentary of that, I don't think. But I have thick skin.

Agreed.

The Jones cannot see and would not accept the fact that their involvement in every facet of the team is a deterrent.
No coach can succeed big under the scrutiny, dysfunction, and hype that comes with coaching the Cowboys.

This team requires a coach with full roster authority and they must not be subject to Jerry oversight (aka need a GM between). The team requires one message from the staff with a STRICT football focus only mandate. Without this authority and structure the scrutiny, dysfunction, and hype will continue to erode any/all talented teams we assemble. End result will be the Hollywood Cowboys will not win another Superbowl.

Well said !!

Just a reminder for others . We had a HC with such authority one time . He won back to back championships . But that wasn’t enough for our owner to stand down. The rest is history.

So those of us who have not been scouts or coaches cannot have an opinion, or express an opinion? Is that just on this forum, or does it apply to all topics of discussion in all areas of life?
Right. You have to be a mechanic to know if your car needs repair .

They can’t dispute or argue your opinion so all they can do is attempt to discredit you personally.

My take away from the OP was this isn’t just about Sundays loss but a pattern this era under our current leadership in FO.
And I have addressed this as well. It was the defense that failed us in the playoffs. As a result, we have a new DC with a new scheme and new players. That disaster in the playoffs has been addressed. The current leadership in FO took the appropriate action. So, a new problem occurred on Sunday and Zimmer will fix it. Relax!

I understand but it appears a fair discussion if our defense has been properly addressed.

And if they’re capable and or have the talent to fix it.

I’m glad you believe they will. Time will tell. Until then some fans aren’t as satisfied.

Fans are never satisfied. Even when the Cowboys win, fans complain that they didn't win the right way.
