Turnovers are player problems not coaching problems

Yes. Every coach does similar drills. Every coach preaches discipline and winning. Every play drawn up on the chalkboard is successful.

Guess there's no difference in coaches, then. They're all the same. It's just a matter of those darn players executing.
For the most part yes. Play calling is a matter of when not what. I’d say 85% of the league uses variations of the same playbook. It’s about when you call certain plays and more importantly HOW YOU EXECUTE.

Is Belicheck an outlier? Of course. But Andy Reid was fired from Philly because he supposedly didn’t know what he was doing. Then he gets Mahomes and lights the world on fire again like he did with McNabb in his prime.

What would he sound like if he said it was a hard catch and a poorly thrown ball? What else is he going to say? He's not going to throw Dak under the bus and he shouldn't. But the ball was not thrown well and it wasn't an easy catch IMO. If you disagree, that's fine. We disagree.
There's nothing to disagree you are wrong. Just accept it and move on it's ok. When everyone in the world except you says it was a very catchable ball. It doesn't really matter what you think

For all of Andy Reid's faults, he did coach the Eagles to 5 straight NFC championship games, and if Dee Ford was not offside, Chiefs go to the SB. Garrett has not even sniffed the NFC championship game as of yet.

This isn’t to say Garrett is as good as Reid. It’s saying that when Reid’s had players he’s great and when he doesn’t people think he’s a moron.

Not trying to start a Garrett is great/terrible argument. It’s saying that a coach is largely only as good as his players. Belicheck was fired by the Browns!

Reid got fired because he had been there almost 15 years and near the end the franchise just wanted a change. Howie Roseman was a young guy and rising up through the ranks and he convinced the owner they needed to change things up, get a fresh, younger voice in there.

And then went out and hired Chip Kelly. LOL.

I forgot about Belichick with the Browns.

One, very few people outside of some drunk Philly idiots have thought Andy Reid was a moron.

Two, are you seriously arguing that Dallas' problem is they don't have good enough players?

No. This is not saying anything about if Dallas has enough good players. It’s saying that the fate of the game is determined much more by what those players do than calling the plays. Since no play is called offensively with the idea that it will result in a turnover.

Hitting an open receiver in stride should also be easy for a professional QB with little to no pressure.
I agree, and through the first three games he was doing better at that. But the pass was definitely catchable.

Not true, he was pretty bad in the Miami game throwing too far in front of a receiver and was picked off, he threw behind Cobb against the Skins and was picked off, and he threw behind Cobb again against the Saints which resulted in us needing to punt.

Seems people have short term memory loss when it comes to evaluating Dak. The Jerry effect.

You do understand that there's far more to coaching than play calling, don't you?

Lol @ easy catch

I can tell most of you havent played a sport in your life. That wasnt an easy catch

Nostalgic reflections on your clearly wanting receiving skills does nothing to change the fact NFL WR's (you know... the guys that are paid big $ to play the game?) are expected to catch that ball 100% of the time.

Remember when your Dad, HS, or maybe even JuCo coach told you that you were a damn good football player and that was a tough grab you almost came up with?

Or... hey, remember a few years prior to that even- when similar authority figures told you the tooth fairy would be in town after a teary lunch period?

They were lying.

Yes but that’s all people judge Garrett and Moore on here. No one starts topics about Sanjays route running or Columbos hand placement in blocking. To 90% of fans games are won by play calling.

Lol, op working overtime to absolve Garrett of any blame.

First there's no use hiring a guy like Lincoln Riley because we already have a young oc (wat?), now sloppy play with several turnovers has nothing to do with the coach.

That poor Jason is just a victim of circumstance.

I'll never understand the dedication to mediocrity that some fans have.

Maybe some of our fans are disillusioned, giving up hope because they feel that JJones is accepting mediocrity, and not changing the direction.
