Turpin "Guys don't have to think in McCarthy's offense. They just go out and play fast."

I think they will give him more, but not a lot more because of who's in front of him. Not going to take Lamb, Gallup or Cooks off the field very often for Turpin. He might be the fourth receiver, though.
I agree he’ll get more but not a lot. His opportunities will come down to how many, if any plays he makes.

It is indeed dumbing down the plays for Dak. A ridiculous development . Teams never win super bowls by bumbing down, MM is out of whack and it will show . The team has already tried every conceivable option to help dak reach or win a SB. Nothing has worked with him , and the excuses are running out.
It is not dumbing it down. It is making it functional which was what Moore lacked especially against better defenses.

It is only dumbed down to the anti Dak fans with an agenda.

I'm beginning to understand why we didn't see the guy involved in the offense last year.
What was that snap count again?

Turpin apparently scored a 7 on the wonderlic so maybe he has specific plays designed for him that allows him to just go. The offense is now Turpin friendly for 5 plays a game!!!

Nope…..that’s not what it’s saying. Its just PR cleanup at this point

Jerry and MM officially said, Dak will have less pre-read thinking, less post-read thinking , and more dump offs .

a Rose by any other name still smells like boo-boo
A guy named Rodgers thrived in McCarthy's offense, even won a Super Bowl. It's difficult to guess how well Dak will do in the new offense, when all we've seen is Air Coryell since well before he arrived. It's going to be interesting to see the parallels between Justin Herbert/Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott/Mike McCarthy play out.

Comparable offensive talent, comparable QB's, McCarthy has a much better resume, but Kellen is really good. A shift in offensive philosophy is not an indictment on the QB, but rather a move to streamline an already really good unit to the head coach's standard. I think we will see better situational playcalling, a better use of the run game, and a QB that's put in a position to do what he does best...play instinctive football. Is it really such a bad thing to shift to a championship proven offensive philosophy when the last one amounted to only a handful of playoff wins?

This doesnt bode well for the cerebral capacity of our WR crew ,isn’t it ?
May be what he meant to say was too much thinking induces mistakes of not in the same page with QB ?
Did you think that they were doctors, lawyers, and engineers?

Lots of snaps for Turpin at WR seems unlikely.

I count 4 WRs ahead of him.
Ferguson is a legit TE already, and we spent a 2nd on another.

Turpin is competing for snaps with Deuce, and by my eye there's a good chance he loses that competition.
I shouldn’t have said a lot of snaps, but more than last year. His number of opportunities will come down to how many plays he makes.

McCarthy wants to emphasize the run so there should already be less opportunities for the receiving squad that includes a pretty strong top three. Turpin is probably WR5 so I'm thinking one to two opportunities at most per game.

Considering he had a total of four total touches on offense last season, this would be categorized as "more opportunity".

This is true but remember, MM's Packer offense gave mid-low round drafted players plenty of opportunities.

Every year we all hear how Andy Reid is adding more complexity to an already prolific offense because his quarterback is cerebral enough to process things at a high rate……that’s not what happening here.
