Dude got cocky when he made the pro bowl. He’s been poor since then.
Maybe cocky.
IMO, more likely the opposite - he just got more uptight.
When he first came in, he was just a guy from a nothing league making it into the NFL. Just being here was a victory. "I'm here, just play."
Once he started to play well, and especially get selected to the Pro Bowl, the expectations shift and now he had a higher status to *lose*.
"Can I keep it up? Have I just gotten lucky? Will it all come crashing down on me?"
I remember back in the 90s when the Cowboys used to actually win things that mattered. Climbing the mountain was just an entirely different vibe for the team than trying to stay on top of the mountain. Expectations of victory and playing not to lose are just a much harder context to play well in. Much less fun too.

I don't think you make a change now. The guy needs to hang onto the football that's for sure, but....

1) He still gives you the threat to take it to the house every return
2) Returning kickoffs/punts is much more difficult that people make it out to be, I'm not sure playoffs first round is when you start making changes there

Very possible the guy has gotten a little cocky/arrogant over the preseason/first half, but if that is the case the last few weeks should have humbled him a bit. Plus keep in mind this is a guy who has already been through an entire season in another league this year. Could be at a point where he is just worn down mentally and physically. I hope that isn't the case as that is an issue that wont get fixed, but something to keep in mind.
He seemed really upset after he fumbled. I have no doubt that he cares and will break one..... Eventually.

Good thing is only the playoffs are left and that's when we need everybody's best
