I'm down for everyone having their roster spot contested every year. That said, do we have anybody on this roster that is actually good enough to take Turpin's ST spots?

so why hasn't tiny Turpin been as injured right now ? .. we even had the nerve to use him as a RB (per Giants 1st game) and he actually scored a TD as a RB !

I seem to recall Turpin missing games due to injury . MM picking his spots .

No confusion needed . Clear thinking . Like MM didn’t get an extension Dak not extended yet the playoffs were such an embarrassment for this franchise that other than a very few , no one should come to training camp and handed a job . Part of the failure of this team is complacency.

You know I know what you meant but that's not the reality the reality is a lot of millionaires on this team like other teams that have a contract and you just don't cut contracts and eat money they're entrenched as starters and there is a core part of this team that are guaranteed jobs as they should be unless they're injured they're playing I mean I don't get how you guys don't realize this is not high school and for sure it's not college but even in those instant sister BMOC's there are dudes who get jobs and they keep them until they leave unless they absolutely just somehow suck this is a team game you're blaming a lot of people for things that they can't control as individuals there are other players that ruined it for them all...,

like I said I understand what you meant but you do need to get back to reality there are a lot of people on this team that already have jobs and most of our starters are set... There very little areas that are not already set as far as your core 22... Sure there's opportunities out there for #3 wide receiver at left tackle center and running back by committee on what order you're gonna use these guys..

On defense I guess some of the linebacker positions and really the 3rd pass rusher and maybe inside defensive tackle but outside of that I hate to break it to you at least 18 players of the 22 starters are already coming back as they should be they're already starters you don't replace starters with long term contracts or big contracts or they're just happened to be the best players on the team that just doesn't happen some of you just are literally think this is the 70s of the NFL or high school and college where you can make big changes and you can bench guys and there's usually enough rosters and depth that you can probably make a point by doing so but you can't do that in most professional sports full of big guaranteed contracts do the players and that most have a salary cap and roster restrictions you just can't start benching people to make a point...

.

I believe you are witnessing fans of other teams openly wishing for the Cowboys to move off of good players as soon as possible. When you see that it's a dead giveaway that they hate the Cowboys. At least that's they way I view it.

This is tinfoil hat territory. Maybe it's something you want to believe about them, but you know are just talking trash.

Turpin's a fine role player. Think of him less as CeeDee and more as Noah Brown.

100% get a return guy in here..Turpin should be WR3 and be actually touching the ball more times as he is the most explosive weapon we have.

Based on this 2 yr experiment I hope this roster spot is a battle in camp and not just handed out to Turpin . Other than a handful of sure vets to make the Cleveland game round one dog fights for spots should be everywhere . K & Punter are a lock and a few other positions .
They’re trying to play him as a WR more this year supposedly.

Okay then find me a logical explanation for fans of a team openly wishing for their own players to fail and for the team to dump good players.

I'll wait.

He can bring more to this team than Noah brown... But I agree that people need to stop putting his expectations up too high but he deserves twice as many targets on offense even if we have to take away some of his special teams and give it to deuce Vaughn the man deserves to be a primary #3 in my opinion I seen his catches his highlights matter of fact I attached them in this thread I don't know how he was miss utilized last year but I saw a lot of running backs as well miss utilized in this offense and that's on Mike McCarthy... He could be so dangerous not only running motions out of the backfield as a running back and wide receiver he deserves to line up in the slot and just go beat guys I mean that catch he made in San Francisco over his head I mean he should get double the targets I think you only had 12 catches last year I wanna see more like 25 add to it about 2-3 per game behind the line of scrimmage plays they should be looking for ways not to put CD lamb in a position to be doing those like they did last year we have a guy on the team that can do it take some of that as well.. I'd like to see CD lamb a lot fresher and more dangerous late in games and late in the season especially if we make the playoffs.......

Who said anything about “ wishing “ players fail ?

I want competition for jobs on a team that’s.been more pretender than contender for decades and homers on this board have a nervous breakdown .

You didn't but many others have. But Turpin is one of the 2 or 3 best return men in the game and his importance will only elevate with the new kick return rules. He also has one thing you can't teach and can never have enough of, raw blazing speed. There is no logical reason to want to be rid of him unless you have someone better in mind. If there is someone who can do his job better on the roster then so be it. Failing that, calling for him to have to "prove something" makes no sense to me. But YMMV.

I wish him the best and hope he’s more involved in the passing game . Other than a handful of players game day 47 should be fierce competition for all jobs .

I just don’t get the urgency out of MM or Jerry that the team is more pretender then contender and the divide between the 49ers and Dallas is bigger then they want to acknowledge.

He is a legit returner and is good for a handful of offensive plays per game. Why would they want to let him go?
I think lots are obsessed with vaughn but turpin has produced and shown no reason not to see if he can expand. He and cooks are speed we need imho

Last season he was productive per touch on offense. Slightly better QB rating when thrown to than Ceedee. High per carry average.

He's just productive, and costs nothing. There's nothing not to like.
