I need a reason to get excited about punt returns again.
if we can somehow sort how the Fgs we should be ok,it's looking like we dont have our place kicker right now.
Lamb, Tolbert, Vasher, Brown, Turpin, and Houston. Simi on practice squad. Gallup and Washington on IR.
Another great FA signed by Stephen Jones.I won’t be surprised if Washington ends up getting cut once his foot is healed.
It belongs to Jason Garrett, and he can keep it.That belongs to Pollard!
I did for sure. I think he not only makes the team but ends up getting a shot at a significant role. The exact archetype of player many of us wanted added to the team.
He’s got elite speed and quickness

Or was that Linehan? Same thing, different degree of loser.
as well as now NMU he can get slot action with jet sweeps, end a rounds etc etc, the new dunbar type guy,Didn't see this posted, but I thought it was interesting to hear from Fassel on Turpin:
Turpin, who joined the team last week after an MVP season in the USFL, has returner aspirations with Dallas. He began his first few practice days fielding punts in alternating reps with fellow rookie Jalen Tolbert, but seemingly has become the top option for doing so.
"I'm very excited. I have high aspirations for Turpin," Fassel said. "He's been on my radar since 2018. At TCU I watched every single one of his returns."
right, I invite and embrace all motion type plays. will be ,moving lamb, pollard and other all over to cover up the first 4games short on Wrs.. run game and motion will help a lot cant allow them to line up over lamb all game and play coverage make them chase him..Jet sweeps? I think you are giving them too much credit or blame. Most teams use some variation of the jet sweep.
Doesn't really matter.
Last year Dallas returned a grand total of 28 punts in 17 games. That's not even 2 a game on the average. In the NFL there were 272 regular season games, 2, count 'em, 2 punt returns for touchdowns.
Punt returns aren't going to make a substantial difference over the course of a year.
Kick returns have similar numbers. Might be the reason one game is won, but with 17 games on the schedule, you would hope you're not hanging your hat on maybe getting a return for a td to win a game to get you in the playoffs, e.g.
Not saying you don't try to have a good return game, but it's just not a big part of the NFL these days.

Most have only considered Turbin a Punt returner specialist (which he is), but he also was a decent WR in the USFL.
If I told Dal had a WR that was 6’1” and ran a 4.29 40 time, he would be most people “pet cat” player. I don’t care that he’s shorter…if he can catch and run past opponents, I want him on the field.
He is a diminutive player so that may limit his touches on offense. If he can do what short guys like Darren Sproles did, he will be an interesting player to follow, however, I doubt he possesses the durability to last very long in the NFL.
Is that you Jason Garrett?Doesn't really matter.
