Saying you strongly disagree with the findings is saying the same as I didn't do what they said I did. Matter of word semantics in a very PC way. Do you want to start calling the league liars right before the appeal process?
No, it's not quite the same.
And if Elliott didn't do it, who cares if he asserts his innocence and makes the league look like it's "lying"?

Well we will have to agree to disagree because I believe the statement was written by a lawyer or publicist to respond in the least threatening way possible. And if he doesn't go nuclear yet, they may have something to present at the appeal process that changes this whole thing so as of right now everyone is keeping their emotions in check.. publicly.

Fair enough. I just don't see how saying you didn't do the crime you're accused of is somehow a super transgression against the league.

Jerry needs to open his checkbook and assemble the greatest legal team since O.J. Simpson. They need to beat the NFL at every legal turn.

I'd truly like to see it. There are some bad precedents being set here, and they need to stop. If not now, when?

Goodell hasn't gotten a single thing right since he won that big victory for the owners over the players in the CBA.

It's to the point now where the league simply thumbs its nose at the justice system and says "we do whatever we want". Justice be damned.

My excitement is nearly extinguished for the first game. No Smith, no Switzer, no Dak, likely no Dez, no starting O-linemen... We're pretty much going to get what we got in the hall of fame game. I'm just hoping Taco flashes something and the secondary isn't going to get lit up again.

Yep, and this game is on NFLN, too. I was hoping to see the starters for at least a series.

I felt that way at first then upon further reading realized he wouldn't do that. Fight a suspension against the same NFL who is making him so much money...just won't happen. He will tell us how furious he is. May even see it soon in a presser but he won't go after Goodell...same way Kraft didn't. It's on zeke and his legal team now.

That reasoning doesn't pass the barstool test. If you were accused of rape (and you didn't do it), your response to the accusation wouldn't be "I strongly disagree with the claim being made."
