I do agree with you that the treatment of Brown and Zeke is troubling. I would say it's probably a stretch to say that there is a racial component to it however. It would be impossible to prove.

While I don't believe race has anything to do with it, the race card might be the best one in Elliott's deck. I don't believe he would go there, but his lawyers could certainly stir up civil rights groups that would be glad to voice their disapproval over the discrepancy of the suspensions. Get a few vocal opponents of the discrimination and the league might want to save face.

Three of the four members of the expert advisory panel are African-American, so I don't think that argument will go anywhere, and likely would hurt, not help, EE's credibility IMO.

Zeke could have walked away at any time and chose not to.

His mistake was getting involved with this girl to begin with. He needs to use better judgement.

He didn't know it was a mistake before the accusation. Unless he can read minds of girls he dates.
