Terrance "Moutain" Cody should be Cowboys next NT. Ratliff moving to end is going to benefit him at getting one on one.

Im pretty happy with our skill positions and I have no problem with Dallas having a meat and potatoes kind of draft.

I like Cody and think he will be even better when he gets to the pros and will be dedicated to the game.

we need a playmaker at free safety. that is our biggest need on defense.

I agree but if it isn't Eric Berry or Earl Thomas than I dont see any 1st round talents that would fit in our secondary.

Im right there with you. And if there isn't a worthy one available i'd love to see us land Brandon Spikes somehow.

I think we are guaranteed to get a good player this year though. There is so many good players available.

They are Casey Hampton and Vince Wilfork, who seems upset by the Patriots lack of interest in resigning him.

Of the two I think Casey Hampton would be the best fit for two reasons. One, he'll be turning 33 before next season and will be demanding significantly less money. Two, Hampton also won't be demanding as much playing time, so we can use him on a situational basis. That way Wade can move Rat from NT to DE and vice versa freely throughout the game without being forced to give Hampton more playing time based on his contract (ahem Roy).

Ratliff himself has said that, while he would move if forced, he does not want to play DE but wants to stay at NT where he is Pro Bowler and may be on his way to an All-Pro year. Why get the checkbook out for an expensive, older player when we have a younger, cheaper All Pro NT who is incredibly disruptive ot offenses and happy where he is? Let's see if we can resign Spears and Sensabaugh.

Why would you want our 2nd best defensive player to switch positions?

We NEED his interior pass rush. We have our pass rush off the edge, but without a beast in the middle, there's going to be a clean pocket to step up into.

A year or two ago I wanted to move him to DE. Not anymore. He's a Pro Bowler, let him stay where he's at.

This is a deep draft. I wish we would have traded a few of last years picks for this years picks, during last years draft but oh well.

I might be interested in Vince Wilfork, but not campton unless he comes real cheap and wants to retire playing back in texas. Along with that on campton he has been injured some this year and he will be 33 or 34, thats pretty old for a NT

Junior Salvai is just alittle younger and has more upside to me than Campton.

Vince, he has to be signed for a decent price, and wanting a superbowl win.

Just think though that wolfork will want way to much money, we cant do that because we will need to resign spears possibly and we have big contracts on ware, canty, igor already. You can only spend so much on each position.

He could well be the playmaking FS we need. His injury and the danger of playing a rookie at that position has prevented him from getting playing time but he was a heck of a player in college.

This is disappointing coming from a guy with the s/n "TheRat".

And Wilfork is gonna get a ridiculous contract in the off-season. We don't have that kinda guap. Unless you're willing to let Sensi, Spears walk.

Don't forget, we gotta re-sign Miles too.

Why not just go out and get a high quality DE and not move Ratliff?

Or why not just make a couple of changes schematically and depth-wise since we're the #2 defense in points allowed as of this morning.

My GAWD! Ratliff is one of the top NT in the game right now. Why in the world would you want to replace him? He wrecks havoc there EVERY SINGLE DAMN GAME. Just stupid to even consider replacing him.

To the OP: You have Ratliff in your sig, and in your username! You don't even have a clue that he would be this explosive as he is at NT at DE. That idea is dumb.

I"d be curious to see Ratliff lined up at DE. I don't think Dallas needs a super star DT, but at least something w/ enough bulk to handle Ratliff sliding over for a few plays but who can also replace Ratliff in case of injury (quality depth!)

And you are stupid because you apparently can't read. I never said anything about replacing.

Furthermore you all are forgetting he started here as a DE and played very well in that role before Fergy got hurt. It is not like he is switching to a position he doesn't play well at. Give me a break. Furthermore he does play DE in certain packages and has played well when given the opportunity to play DE. So I do have some clue, but apparently you don't.
