Two tipped passes. Int. Ever happen?

I thought there was at least one other tipped pass that didn't get intercepted.

Why can't it be in front like a normal pass?

Catchable? of course.

But "perfect"...like you claim he has to be? Not.
Lmao! I don't think you even watched the game. Or you just like to argue. Maybe both come to think of it. You would've posted a video showing that it wasn't a perfect pass like you lied when you said I claimed that it was, which I didn't. So you're a liar from now on in my book. You didn't word it that well, but it doesn't make sense either way.

Maybe you don't know the game of football like you think you do? Maybe. That ball was right in front of him. Dak puts it where the DB can't knock it down. Leading the ball in front of him like you wanted, the ball gets knockdown because the DB jumped on that quickly. Ferguson was able to use his body to shield his defender like Pickens should've done on that play in the endzone but didn't and the ball got batted down. And WR's like to catch the ball with their hands extended in front of them, not on the side. The ball was put in an almost perfect spot. Just above the numbers is the sweet spot but that pass was very close to it.

Can i ask you if you are or have been a coach? Player at a high level like college in the past?

Now you went from a specific play to a generalization of his career.

That pass to fergi, in fact both passes to fergi were in great position to be caught and the fact is he screwed up. The intercepted pass was eye level and in front of him and it bounced off of fergi. There is absolutely no denying t hat. Anything otherwise is a biased agenda driven drivel.

Now, stats tend to normalize over time and long periods and large samples.

He has thrown for over 37000 yards. If he is an inaccurate as you claim then over 1000s of throws, completions things will normalize. The fact, not biased views say otherwise. In fact it was shown he has highest ratings on small window throws, long ball and pretty much across the board around the field. All the stats support that.

Does he throw bad balls? Yes. He is not elite and I never claimed he was.

Do the recievers sometimes make circus catches? Yes but that's also true for every single QB elite or not. Thats undeniable. Do good recievers make good catches? Yes. Why else pay them a 130M contract.

If expectations are for him to be perfect and really tops with every throw then why ever pay at WR. Just draft them low, sign low end WRs and let the QB make pegectlynplaced throws.

You are obviously biased. It doesn't sound like you are Anything but a fan. You have zero, i mean zero proof of anything you claim about inaccuracies. Its nothing but an opinion.

Again, that intercepted pass to Fergi, was accurate, on the spot and Ferginplain screwed up. But given your bias you have to blame Dak and take that single throw into a career story and your view and your personal observations.

Again you gave 2 examples and made genralized comments. I can do that for every single QB.

You are welcome to your opinion.
You are welcome to your bias.
You are welcome to your perception.
Doesn't make you right.

I don’t disagree with some of your assessment. Ferg SHOULD have caught that ball. It was in his face. I’m just saying completion percentage and ball placement aren’t the same.

One example from last nights game. It was either a slant or an in route, to Pickens. He beat his man off the line and was open. Dak threw it behind him so he had to slow down and the cornerback(I believe it was Parrish) easily caught up and made a play. If George had caught that, Daks completion percentage would have gone up, but the placement of the ball was bad. And yes I speak on it as being a thing that has gotten him throughout his career because it has. Pointing out a play here or there and providing a video is just giving a visual example of what I’m talking about.

There are plenty of these plays throughout his career. I just named off a few of them I remember well off the top of my head.

And nope. Last football I played was back in the 90’s in middle school.

And biased which way? I like Dak and think he’s top 10 easily and a debatable top 5 QB right now. It’s just a critique. Seems you may have a bias if you think a simple critique is bias.

They are dumb. If Dak puts the ball low and at Ferg's hips then it falls incomplete if he doesn't catch it. Dak's ball placement was bad, and Ferg sucks. Both are true here.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time here but here I am. This is how WR's want to catch the ball. If Dak leads Ferguson, the ball gets batted down by the DB who jumped on the route very quickly. Dak puts the ball in the sweet spot. That does two things, he gives Ferguson a perfect angle to catch it and it keeps the DB from knocking it down. Many other off passes Dak made in this game but for some reason y'all pick this almost perfect pass from Dak. You guys are either trolls, just like argue or part of the Anti-Dak Cult here, or all three.

It was where any decent reciever in NFL makes that catch. I dont disagree that completion percentage and ball placement are different, but over time. Over 1000s of throws if your ball placement sucks, tends to lower your completion percentage. I have seen anti Dak crowd nitpick over 2 inches...

And last night Dak had a bad game. I said that in other threads. On two back to back series in first half (2nd and 3rd series) he was all over the place. He missed a wide open CD on a broken play... not sure what in the hell was going on.

Anti dak crowd will say t hats typical Dak. But we have also seen him be really on point and accurate the first 4 games.

And i said that he is not elite, which means he will have more off plays than an elite player.

I can give you a lot of examples of him being good with his throws.

Not sure what your point is from your initial comment and this one.

Are you saying Dak is not elite?
Well we already know rhat.

Are you saying Dak sucks and he is a bad QB?
Well, last night he was bad.

And last night the whole freaking team was bad. Coach on down

You falsely accused me of an agenda since my post clearly suggests Jake Ferguson, and not Dak Prescott, was to blame for the interception... but I am the one who must chill?

Dude. What came first? The chicken? Or the egg?

I'm done.

Typical CowboysZone.
Chill. Really. Chill.

I heard someone mention that Dak really might have hurt his hand last game. It was wrapped last week, and a lot of his passes were high or wobbly.

It's funny.

Jake Ferguson's signing bonus was what? $25 mil? In the basic sense, he is getting paid to catch the ball and block.

Cool story bro time! I attended my granddaughter's coronation as homecoming queen two weeks ago. Her high school's team was up by 7 in the second quarter. Tight end ran a crossing route around the 25. Full speed. His quarterback delivered the ball behind him. He had to reach back. The linebacker covering him was already tackling him. He caught it clean. Both hands. Converted the fourth down. Kept the drive alive. They scored four plays later.

No NIL money.

Why must a veteran professional tight end require perfect passes thrown to him?

Scratch that.

Why must <expletive> NFL-level pass catchers routinely get automatic excuses for what they did for free in high school? Is there a depreciation-type contractual clause with a built-it scale for calculating reception difficulty? Is it called the AW SHUCKS I HAD IT! exemption?

Seriously. I really want to know.

A PFF study found that batted passes were intercepted approximately 41% of the time in its analyzed sample. However, that doesn't establish the percentage of all interceptions originating from tipped balls.

That is why you don't want your quarterback regularly having to throw 40 - 45 passes per game.

When you get receivers like Dez Bryant, Lamb, Pickens, and Cooper, that helps tremendously too. I’m talking feet. The video I posted, Beasley had to reach completely behind him. Between where the ball was caught and where it should have been was at least 2-3 feet away. The deep ball was yards as he had to slow down and completely turn around to catch it. The one to Pickens last night was also yards. Pickens running at the speed he was would have been a few yards away from where he had to almost completely stop to try and catch it. They can make those catches because they adjust, but that doesn’t mean the placement was good.

For sure the team was bad last night. All around.

No I’m not staying he sucks. Literally said in my post what I think of him. A critique can be made without hating or not liking someone. I think you’re putting too much into what I’m saying and are lumping a valid critique in with a bunch of biased dummy’s and letting that cloud your judgement on the differences. You didn’t read me saying anything like that. You put all that there in your mind.

I do hope you have yourself a fantastic weekend despite the loss. Truly I do.

You are giving handful of samples. Then making a generalization out of it
Every QB including mahomesnhas bad passes.
Dak.has.morw bad passes than mahomes, that's why he is not elite

He is good not elite. What else is there to debate?

I'd say it's you that doesn't know football.

The "sweet spot"? Is not always the exact same place. It depends on the motion of the wide receiver and position of defender(s)
