I dont think too many players hold onto that pass the way he got rocked by Taylor right as the ball arrived. Give Taylor credit for a nice play. I dont understand how when its 2nd and 4 we are running 3 and 4 yard routes though. Seems ******** to me. Where is the slant to Key or any other route? The whole passing game was dink and dunk all game it was frustrating to watch.

We didn't just run 3 and 4 yard rountes on those plays. Bledsoe looked for other people, didn't find anyone so he dumped it off. Better to do that then force the throw and get an int.

We should of not hurried on that second down play though. We should of waited till after the 2 min warning, then ran the football.

But we wouldn't of been in that situation if our D didn't blow it.

Last I knew - Crayton didn't play on the defense.

Last I knew, a team with a 13 point lead with 5 minutes to play should win the game. Crayton's drop hurt, but we should of never been in that situation.

Don't know why you brought up crayton considering what you quoted anyway.

I'll bring up whatever I want to bring up.

You blame the defense............fine, but the defense didn't drop the pass that Crayton dropped.

Yes, reply with a couple of smilies. I asked you a simple question. No need to go kindergarden on me with the "I'll do whatever I want" nonsense. It was a simple question. From what you quoted, I couldn't understand why you brought up Crayton. SImple question, all it needed was a simple answer.

I still don't understand why you brought up Crayton, but if all you want to do is start your BS, then go right on ahead. You do whatever you want anyway.

Thanks for letting me do whatever I want - that is very kind of you and I appreciate that very much.

If you can't understand the importance of Crayton dropping that pass (catching the ball is good - dropping the ball is bad), I won't waste more time explaining it to you.

Sarge, I really don't see where I posted ANYTHING to warrant this type of response from you. I understand the drop was bad (go read some of the posts I've made about that play all night in here), I just didn't understand how what you QUOTED had to do with Crayton dropping that pass.

I agree, that drop was HUGE.

Now, do you think you can debate or have a conversation w/o being an arse? I haven't done or said anything to you to get this type of response. You're being childish.

Let's see here. I make it a point to say that Crayton's dropped pass was huge and you ultimately translate that into me being childish.

Like I said, I CAN'T help that you don't understand why I brought up the dropped pass by Crayton (but perhaps it is because it is one of the MAIN reasons they didn't win) and frankly - I don't know why you are obsessed with me bringing it up.

Dude, stop being a child.

YOU know damn well *** I'm talking about.

Like I said, go back and read the posts I've made about that dropped pass all night. What I didn't understand was what Crayton dropping that pass had to do with this quote:

I agree. We should of ran the ball on 2nd down.

But we should of never been in that situation to begin with. Our D choked in the 4th quarter. Sound familiar?

You responded to that with:

Last I knew - Crayton didn't play on the defense.

That makes no sense at all. Yes I understand Crayton's drop was big. But, like I said, "But we should of never been in that situation to begin with. Our D choked in the 4th quarter. Sound familiar?". If our D doesn't choke we wouldn't of even had to throw the ball to Crayton on 3rd and 3.

You want to put the blame on Crayton after the D blows a 13 point lead with 5 minutes to go (and I agree some of the blame should go on him, but he didn't lose the game. He just didn't help us retake the lead after the Defense lost it)?

Sarge, I know I can be an a** sometimes. Very often actually, but I also know when I'm not being an a**. And I'm not being an a** here. I asked you simple question. You could of just given me a simple answer to begin with.

I'm not calling you an a#%, I don't do that, for the record.

This is my last post for now - here goes.

You blamed the loss on the defense and I simply stated Crayton doesn't play defense, ie: Crayton's dropped pass was just as big if not bigger than blaming the defense.

There you have it. I gotta go to work.

Should of just posted that from the beginning.

And it's not Crayton's fault we lost. It's partially his fault we didn't come back and win. But if the defense does their job we wouldn't of had to throw a pass to Crayton (or anyone else) to try and get a first down. Even if he gets that first down, there's no guarantee we do anythign with it. Personally, I would of not hurried that second down play. After the 2 min warning I would of ran the ball. On 3rd down, I would of ran the ball again. We had time and 2 timeouts. We didn't have to rush those plays.

I didn't say you did. I said I know I can be an a** sometimes. I didn't say you called me one.

I would have like for Crayton to catch that ball, but all the credit for that one goes to Taylor. He lit him up and timed it perfectly. Not many receivers would have caught that one. That said, I'd like to see him protect the ball a little better. But it might not have made any difference on that play. Our boy got rocked.

When it matter most, we couldn't even get a 1st down with time running out. The playcalling was horrendous on that last drive. We had a chance to get into FG position, but couldn't get it done.

We deserved to lose.

The Skins aren't the "85 Bears" but we aren't exactly the 92 Cowboys either. Crayton had a first down late in the game and dropped the ball. Is that playcalling's fault?

What if we'd opened it up and ended up throwing an INT that was returned for a TD? I know what would happen, everyone would be crying about it saying "We had the lead late in the game and our D was playing Great, WHY ARE YOU THROWING THE BALL?!", that's what they'd be saying. Just like most people were saying last year after the Pitt game (Myself included).

With 5 minutes to go I don't care how many points we've scored, I only care about how many MORE points we have then the opposing team. And a GOOD defense holds a 13 point lead with 5 minutes to go.
Rack, I'm not even talking about playcalling. I think that for the most part, playcalling is way overrated. It's execution that matters.

What I'm talking about is the way this offense has been constructed. It's the old questions about why we're so slow and have such little big-play potential. When Parcells was asked about that in the offseason, he completely dismissed that and said that Terry Glenn and Quincy Morgan were fast. Well, Glenn is no longer special athletically and Morgan isn't even here anymore.

The truth is, every scoring drive is like pulling teeth for us. I'd like to have at least the potential of a couple of cheap long TDs like the Skins got, but we're almost incapable of doing it with the people we have on the team. (And BTW, flea-flickers don't count. ;))

Should have been a fumble. That was a great play by Taylor.
