Ty Law is an overrated chump. Made the pro bowl on name only. Couldn't cover my grandmother one on one.

1) He played last year for $2.5M
2) He had 10 picks last year and I heard all the money reasons why we could not sign Ty Law.

He could be had for a $4M cap hit and we have $20-$25M.
Same Cowboys that paid VT $5M in 2004 and Al Singleton $2M Last year.


Money is no issue in getting Law. Issue is another team giving him CB Job. But Law wants to win - BP needs to pick up the phone

I saw an ESPN Insider FA article where Law was quoted as saying he was looking for a $10 million signing bonus.

Obviously, I don't see anyone paying him that kind of $$, but it lets you know we certainly aren't going to jump on him at the beginning of FA. Teams will probably let him come back down to earth before an offer is made to him.

I would love to have him because he's still an excellent player and would give us a lot of flexibility in our secondary, but it ain't happening as long as he has those kind of numbers in his head. Jerry and Bill would be looking for "value" and that isn't what they had in mind.
