I really like this pick and Beebe . Total upgrade of the line . Now a new position coach plus a season of workouts need to see a jump in improvement next season .

I’m not sold on Steele I think Dallas needs to look at Richards some as they fall further out of contention .

He gets a full off season in the weight room and training/practicing and he will be so much better next year.

right ,

we can all agree he's struggling he's inconsistent too many penalties.... however, all the haters or the internet experts think this guy is going to be a bust compare him to Mazi as 1st round miss, those casuals need to step back, they obviously don't understand the game of football if they think that .... i mean the worst thing that can happen to Guyton's career is him become a right tackle, replace Steele either way he's a keeper IMHO, Now Bebee is future all pro he a TS next to each other is going to be great for years..

Now what do we do for martin?

i said this before

i'm not sure why the coaches didn't switch the offensive line around as soon as Guyton came back after missing that game and bye week come our with Tyler-Bass-Coop-Martin-Guyton lineup. i like that lineup , maybe Daks still standing and we are 5-4 vs 4-5??

Maybe next year we find another option or move Guyton back than move Bass to RG when martin leaves but anything besides watching our offense struggle over the inconsistency's and constant penalty's with this lineup.

When I think back to both Connors that were here an aging Tyron 77 Bidadaz at C , the two draft picks in the OL last season plus Bass Richards the OL is going in the right direction . New HC OC and OL coach are all needed in 25 and open RT to competition .

I just read this ( thanks for posting ). He's definitely on the right track. All O-linemen will have a few penalties, so that doesn't bother me, especially since he's a rookie. I am sure going against a different pass rusher ( some elite ) each week is challenging but that will help next season.

I think Bass will do fine replacing Martin next year especially considering Martin's current level of play. RT is a little more up in the air. It saddens me that Steele's play hasn't improved this year. We can either try Richards there or just go to the draft and hope we get a decent one. Preferably not in the first round, we have other positions of need. Like a majority of the defense.

Overshown saving that draft from total failure..

but i would hold out on calling it a complete disaster..
because right now we don't have a very creative offensive coordinator poor OL, poor execution around guys like Luke, Brooks, and Vaughn. Maybe on another team they could at least be contributing role players. .

not great draft for sure but Schoon is not at fault IMO, Richards still has a shot, and Overshown will be all pro. the worst draft i can remember is the 2009 special teams draft but sure this is on the top 5 worst in Jones tenure

The penalties are as bad as sacks so let's not heap too much praise on him just yet.

He definitely has potential, I still think he needs another off-season to get stronger. With more upper body strength he will be able to keep guys from getting pass him.

he is improving which HE SHOULD be since he is playing a position he never has before and had less than a full season at RT before.

BUT those thumping their chests need to remember that this is comparing him to ROOKIES not the rest of the NFL

Both he and Beebe have looked outmatched this season but the experience they are gaining is invaluable. Hopefully it pays off next season.

He’s a young kid and is clearly still growing into his abilities.

Everyone knew he was raw coming out of OU, so we need to be a little more patient with him than we had to be with the Smiths, Martin, and Frederick coming out of school.

He seems to be well on his way to developing into a good NFL tackle. The improvements are pretty obvious week over week and that is fantastic. A lost season like this is a great time to get him his reps.

Now, I think the best long term plan is to move him to his natural position at RT and post-June 1 Steele and then draft a stud LT prospect in the 1st or 2nd round, but I’m definitely starting to come around on Guyton.

I think the same can be said about Beebee too. He’s shown the ability to be a very good NFL center, but just needs more time and reps. These guys will be fine.

Literally no one was saying that. Around here, everyone was singing his praises talking about how he has the second highest PFF rating of rookies in preseason and slapping high fives for another great OL pick. Then when he struggled we now hear that he was always a project that needed to develop, etc., lol. You can't get out in front of reality so you can say you "always knew" but people love doing that. Tyler Smith struggled at first too so that's a hopeful thing. Hope he keeps perfecting his craft.

Apparently you haven't seen some of the posts there are very few here,

you know the Internet is all-encompassing the WWW dot it's very big....

Facebook has about 100 Dallas cowboy group pages then you have ESPN Bleacher Report all of them there are people on there, claiming Guyton is headed towards bust level and they compare him to Mazi literally I read it ,if you're not reading them I'm sorry, I have to come across this mess, I'm just being a messenger, don't shoot the messenger, this is what I heard..

Seeing no problems at all in Cooper's play he doesn't have any more issues with positive or negative plays that's some of the best lineman in the game have they all have some moments or have a game where they're being outmatched for the most part 90% of Cooper's play has been excellent I'm not saying all pros but for a rookie this dude's playing very well very solid hardly any games that he's getting the treatment that we saw TylerB have Tyler truly without Max in almost every single game against any of the bigger powerful DTS.. Nah I see when I hear you say something like outmatched I'm thinking Tyler B not Cooper Cooper has actually held his own in almost every game he's had a couple slip ups here and there but I haven't seen anything that even concerns me the least yes guyton is having those inconsistent problems and too many problems but not our center already an instant upgrade in my opinion..

There were a lot on here, including me, saying that we should expect it to be bumpy playing a rookie who showed in college that he needed development and was switching sides. There were plenty of warnings. Some of what he showed in the preseason was encouraging, but some struggles against starting RDEs was expected.
