So, I've been one of the people saying that while I believe he has the potential and that I do expect improvement, until he shows it on the field we need a backup plan in place in case he doesn't. Well, I thought he was good last night.

This was a light-coming-on type of game. I don't think I have ever seen this level of play out of Guyton, even in short flashes.

The Giants can bring more speed off the edge than probably any defense in football, and Guyton had no problem with it.

yes, he did better. Lets keep it going. Steele was awful again. The personal foul hands to the facemask hurt us. Hes terrible.

While it’s just one game, I think fans need to start giving Guyton some credit.

He’s worked hard and the results are showing up.

I'm the biggest Guyton critic here.

So I'll man up and say he passed game 1.

But I'll be here for the remaining 16 as well and prefer to take my crow well done at season's end if he can give a full season's worth of quality pass blocking.
That’s fair.

Same. Critic here too and think this is his last chance if he's going to stick but good showing out the gate for him.

He started training camp with doubts of a 5th year option offer next May, but if he continues to play at this level, he may get.

Excellent game 60!

Steele wasn't a disaster either.

Pickens was really bad. The Giants were ganging up on the run, and Dak put several balls on him that could have been huge plays. Dropped.

Yes I was going to say without rewatching the game or seeing any grades that Guyton's performance was the biggest plus from last night's game.

Bringing in competition lit a fire under his but

Quantify what is a disaster please. Lol. The blatant hands on the facemask hurt us and Dak was running for his life. Not because of Guyton but Steele. Bass wasn't great either.

One of the few bright spots. I think if Guyton can stay healthy he’ll come good. He was playing pretty well during one stretch last season until he got hurt again. He Putin a lot of work this offseason and put maybe his best display out there in game one. He needs continuity to keep improving.

He was shockingly good and looks noticeably bigger.
