I think were looking at 2-4 to start the season the most likely with 3-3 the high bar. Eagles will probably have 2 or 3 game lead on us at that point most likely losing to them as one those first 6 games.

I see the Eagles as the favorites now to win the division. Cowboys will struggle to get and stay over 500. Defense will have to carry this team and Dak will have to make some 4th quarter magic with little protection.
That’s fair looking at the schedule.

I had us at 4-4 at the bye before Tyron injury.

Good news is second half is a little easier . But no doubt our defense will need to be better and we’ll need Dak to overcome with some magic to stay competitive.

Hovering around .500 is probably best case scenario.

maybe...but he could also rise to the challenge.
this staff has done well getting the most out of rookies.
This is a possibility . And could get better as season goes. But it’s more probable he’ll struggle . At least initially. Which most Rookies would at LT.

As a fan, I guess you’re unaware of the fact that players have to completely change their technique? I guess it’s understandable that a fan wouldn’t know such things.
So power is a technique?

and you learn that in one game?

who new?

We all hope for that, but hope is not a strategy. And the rookie has gotten frighteningly little work at left tackle.
sure.
but hope is not something to be afraid of,either.
he said he feels more comfortable at tackle.
i'd rather roll the dice on this kid....than whoever f/a jerry and stephen would sign from dollar tree.

Honestly, I'm more worried about McGovern getting thrown around than Tyler. We should run the ball behind Tyler that's his strength right now IMO.

Getting very strong 2018 vibes, when the Cowboys' front office were the only people in the world who were surprised when the WR corps wasn't good enough.

100% on target. Some of these Jerry & Son replies about offensive line worries in press remind me of someone who is used to being surrounded by ‘yes men’ and frustrated that all of us don’t see it the same way.

This was the plan all along. When Tyron inevitably went down, they were going to slide Tyler over.

It’s Crazy knowing that Tyler didn’t even beat out McGovern for the guard spot but they are so confident at him protecting the blind side

Jane Slater in the NFL Network just said that Stephen Jones said that Walentzko played well and said they are going to stay inside the building on the OL. They were more talking like it would be Walentzko or Ball and not moving Smith outside.

Brian Baldinger agreed that was the best way. He said you have to draft your guys, coach them up and let them play.

We still know nothing about what they’ll do.

Would love for Waletzko and Smith to shore up the left side for the next decade, but we'd really have to be fortunate for it to happen that way. I think the Joneses have been clear that they drafted Smith with it in mind that he'd eventually replace Tyron. Doubt that they would start a different rookie there instead who they didn't even get to see for most of the preseason.

All indications this off-season point to the team putting minimal effort towards winning this year, they are the opposite of "all in".

Tyler Smith will be the only dude to overcome a high ankle sprain in three weeks and start at LT with zero reps. What could go wrong?

Dr. Jerry has spoken and also said Tyron will be back for the meat of the season after he examined both of them, Dr Jerry has spoken take it as gospel.
