FEATURED Tyler Smith Is Out 4-6 Weeks

So he was struggling with this all summer? And they just now decided to get the surgery?

Dumb. He could have had the surgery when the original injury occurred and been ready for week 1 or thereabouts.

Hope TJ is ready to ball. And I hope we grab a versatile backup OL to add to the roster. Hate this injury and hate how they have “managed” it.
He likely did next to nothing during TC, and did the team really think it would heal on its own? To require surgery this late? Management malpractice

Told y'all we should have kept Brock Hoffman. Now the Cowboys are weak at Tackle and Guard positions.
I think the knock on Hoffman was how he graded out.

Overall Grade: 56.0 (34th out of 40 qualified centers)
Snaps Played: 475 offensive snaps pff.com

This is a photo that my wife took of me doing my research about the exact nature Tyler Smith’s injury (I helped diagnose it), how long the team has been hiding it, and how long he’ll be out.
Haha. Not necessary, just scroll through and read all the expert comments.

Welp, that sucks. Especially the timing. Bass is a player though, so he should be able to fill in for the team. Obviously he is not Tyler Smith, but he should be able to hold the fort down.

Is it too much to ask of the football gods to just allow us a healthy season??

On the expect the season results thread, I said pessimistic result 9-8, positive result 11-6. My reasoning for the pessimistic was all the new players and not knowing how it would actually play out and the other item was injuries. The season hasn't even started and here we are inching towards the 9-8 result lol.

Wait, what? Is he kind of done with things like that? We kind of thought he could play through it, but in the end it was so terrible of an injury we decided, for the week of Game 1, not to take any chances for the first half of the season and have the procedure done. The same Tyler who graded 15th out of 81 interior OL? The same Tyler who placed 29th in OL pass blocking, Tyler? We play in the NFC, where every game matters, and his injury was simply a "we thought"? You can't make this stuff up, and what's going to happen when Guyton wigs out at some point in the first few games? The same Tyler who has played in 3 consecutive Pro Bowls, and HC figured he could play with a mangled paw, but then figured he couldn't?

He could have had the surgery a month ago and would only maybe have missed the first game or two. Now he might miss 5 or 6.

Delayed surgeries is old hat here; clearly the culture change has not gone THAT far...

Welp, the hype was fun while it lasted.
Good lord I wish you dang snowflakes would go watch the WNBA or something. I’ve never been around a more “woah is me” pitiful “I was happy but now I’m sad” group in my life!!!!!!!!!!!

Any of you who think any team could go through the year without injuries have serious issues.
