Isn't there are rule about that, unless its bereavement, birth of a child type of situation, if a person practices a little he is questionable, if he does not practice it is doubtful.

No, it's just supposed to be that "Questionable" is 50-50 to play, "Doubtful" is I forget but 75-80% unlikely. If guys are questionable but practicing on a limited basis on Friday, they almost always play. If they're questionable and not practicing Friday, they rarely play.

I guess the reasoning is Bass played right side all summer and Richards played left side. Bass is probably the better option long term but asking him to switch sides and be ready in three days is unrealistic. So they will likely start Richards at LG assuming Tyler Smith is out.

It’s a bit wishful thinking to believe that missing your starting LG and starting LT won’t make much of a difference.

They’re better at pass protection my point is the back up some better blocking getting after the defense. Wishful thinking no it’s just with the squad differences . The preseason was about running. And that’s what they did it with the backups.
