Do we have any updates on the severity of the injury? Any new information? Is he getting an MRI?

They are going to be quiet about it until right before game time when they have to disclose the inactives.

This is the last thing we need. Tyler Smith is the anchor of the offensive line now, pretty much. You lose him, and your whole line drops a full grade point.

A "tweak" is generally considered as minor. Whether said tweak can be fully healed and ready to play by week one is questionable. Let's hope so.
Count me among those who would be disappointed if Tyler Smith isn't fully healed and ready to step up. If not, T. J. Bass will be relied upon. :flagwave:

And so it begins.

I initially read it as "Tyron". Glad it wasn't him, but, depth is even worse on the interior of the OL.
I think it's just the opposite. I'm much more comfortable seeing TJ bass come in at guard then to see Richards come in at tackle.

Me too. He can just look down the line at Steele and see how an UDFA can become a starter. Bass played really well in preseason which is encouraging. People will say “we’ll be played against scrubs”. True but he also played with 3rd string offensive linemen next to him. He didn’t play with Tyron, BDZ, Martin and Steele. I’m not excited about losing Tyler, if we lost him, but Bass could adequate and get some real reps in. Here’s to hoping for a silver lining.

The OL will be our downfall
Been saying that all off season but no worries we got a 2nd round TE that should have been a 3rd rounder at best in the house

He’s gonna take over the league. here’s to a quick recovery Tyler

Either is like they said just soreness or it’s worse and they don’t want the other teams to know. Heck I had to get on my parents roof to spread some tar for about 20 minutes. My hammies and back was sore for days. But I am not in my 20’s and in top shape.

seriously, why not sign him?
Because he looked old last year and is now a year older and without a training camp again. It took him a while to get into game shape after he came in and even then he couldn't play a full game. If we were going to bring Peters back it would have needed to have been a month ago to get him ready.

The good news is. He is very young. Young legs come back faster from these kind of things than 30 year old legs do.

Schoonmaker looks good so far. We got a running back in the 6th that should have been a 4th rounder. We got a receiver in the 7th that should have been a 4th rounder as well. We got a free agent guard that should have been drafted. We got a free agent running back that should have been drafted as well.

Is he playing Sunday night? What about Sam Williams? I think this game will come down to the offensive and defensive lines and missing to key plays from both will make it tougher for Dallas.
