- I'm not sure it would Bass ahead of Richards at LG.
I've not seen Bass taken in any snaps in preseason at LG.
It seems to have been all at RG.

- Richards has taken a number of snaps in camp practice at LG, but not LG in preseason games, but he's
a better athlete than Bass.

- Richards is super- key cuz I can see us needing him very soon because of the Tyron Smith predicament
Tyler (or Richards) will have to slide out to take the LT spot at some immediate point.
Keep in mind the following about TJ.

Finished Oregon career playing 2,211 total snaps across three seasons, including 1,379 at left tackle and 824 at left guard

The one guy I least expected to get hurt first shows up on the list. Hope it’s a small thing and the rest can stay healthy, but wouldn’t put money in it.

This game the line is good holding the base minimum 2.0 seconds. The Cowboys are ready here.

Hamstring is probably minor to a Guard as opposed to a DE, RB, WR or Secondary position.

If Tyler can't go, I'd prefer they just start Bass and get him experience. He seems capable and probably won't mess up as much as some of the scrub backups.

Only that's at the college level, it's a whole different animal vs vets with considerably more athleticism and skill level.

Though Bass is short on athleticism, (the reason why he was not drafted & why moved inside at OG in NFL)
he's reportedly sound on techniques, high football IQ, and competitive nature.
I think he could make an eventual adjustment at LG as well.

Packers have had several past Pro Bowl OL guys that fit the same bill and trait as Bass.

Still an issue. lot easier to push someone backwards when their hamstring is bothering them. I've been the pusher and pushee even times to know

All week it will be…game time decision. We seen this all too many times.

Treatment, Rest, Wrap it up. Play with a brace and put him in coach.

Came to say this. Should be manageable

The severity of the injury + plus how he responds to the treatment will dertermine how Tyler Smith will be utilized Sunday nignt.
You best believe Giants DC Martindale is going to go early, hard, and often at him all game long if he's out there - blitzes and stunts to challenge Smith's mobility.

Yes...I get it, the NFL is different but I guess thank you for stating that?

Point of my post was just to illustrate TJ's familiarity @ playing the guard position (824 snaps). On the other hand, I think Richards had less than 50 snaps at the guard position.

I don't know where the Cowboys have been playing Richards in practice but I believe Bass has been exclusively on the inside.

Either guy is fine with me as they have both been showing-up in PS games and in practice (from what we've heard).

I’ve been hoping to see us sign a good veteran with position flex like Justin Pugh. It would make this team so much stronger against any potential injuries.
