Smith was dreadful in 2017. Martin was average in 2017. Both slightly better in 2018. Both Had good years in 2019, neither as good as they were in 2014 and 2016.

Pretty bad all decade team

Smith is in no way shape or form a HOF in my book

Tyron was injured and still ranked top 10 in both run block and passing blocks. Martin made 2nd team all-pro and was the 2nd highest rated cowboy player on the entire roster....... (lol).

So Ware and Witten both got left out of either 2000's or 2010's team......

They both straddled the decades in their best years. Particularly Ware. If it's 2006 to 2015, Ware is a shoe-in.

It's tough going for Witten in the 00s having to compete with Gonzalez. That leaves one spot, and Gates beat him out. Can't complain.

Outstanding post. Thanks for posting the accolades for each. Not only have they been consistently outstanding, but doing it in era an era where OLine play seems to get worse every year.

Brady, Bellicheck, and Julius Peppers are the only 2000 all decade team members to make the 2010 list as well.

Zack Martin and Aaron Donald are probably the 2 favorites of the 2010 team to also make the 2020 team

Picked within 1 pick of each other and either could have been a Cowboy.

Martin is really close (interior o-line is the hardest position to get in Canton). 2 more elite years and I think he's in

Pro Football Reference has a "Hall of Fame Monitor", scoring players for HOF by careers. Looks pretty accurate.

Martin has to keep playing and making Pro Bowls. Should be inevitable if he keeps playing. though the lack of team championships hurts. He's already got more All Pros than other guys not in the HOF ahead of him. But for injury, he's in. Those guards play a long time, though.

There is one weird snub of Alan Faneca, who by the numbers, should already be in.

On Ware, everyone above him is HOF. He's in. Even got his ring.

Witten is 5th for TEs, and the only guy above him not in is Gates, who is #2 and a lock. Gonzales, Gates, Sharpe, Casper, Witten Gronk. Not bad.

This is the text book definition of overrated. Who should I consider to be overrated then — a much maligned player like Dak Prescott? No. Too be overrated a player has to be highly rated. If this makes you feel better: I believe Magic Johnson and Larry Bird are overrated. And Magic Johnson happens to be my favorite basketball player ever! Overrated does not mean a player is not good or great. It means that player is not as good or great as the general perception .

Tyron Smith has already made the 2020 pro bowl team regardless of well he does or doesn’t play in 2020. That happens at the positions that aren’t judged by numbers. Unless your Saint Larry Fitzgerald and you can still make the PB with only a 500 yard season.

Sorry he's not a hall of Famer in your book but because his resume reads like Orlando Pace's (a 13-yr HOF career) after only 9 seasons, he's probably gonna get in.

That happens at the positions that aren’t judged by numbers.

His PFF score was 3rd highest left tackle in the entire NFC, he allowed only 1 sack, and was top 5 in the league in least amount of pressures allowed and run blocking.........

Funny how the numbers, coaches, fans, and players don't agree with you....... ("buh buh the numbers, buh buh the stats, uhhh the eye test" "uhh the pro bowl and NFL top 100 is rigged").

In regards to Tyron Smith being a hall of fame player your literally going to be talking to yourself in regards to him not getting in. If that's the way you feel thats fine but you have to realize your going to be the 1% on that opinion
