We should have seen this coming a mile away. This is guy is bound together with baling wire and duct tape. Thanks to our moron owner and GM he saw fit not to upgrade the failing offensive line but went after multiple busts in the 2023 draft. Time to get rid of the demented JJ who along with his clown son need to sell.
A couple weeks ago he was playing well and was an important cog. Now we're here and he's trash? The Cowboys viewed Tyron playing an important role when healthy and his cap number was the 18th highest among LT so its not like he carried a terrible contract. I have no issue with Tyron coming back this year and if anything playing in 11 games out of 15 is about as good as one could have hoped for so far.

With that said I do agree we could have invested more at swing tackle considering the injury situation at LT and RT. They did draft 2 5th rounders and 1 4th rounder the last few years to fill in depth. It would have seemed round 2 this year would have been a good time to consider another tackle, but don't know that there was a lot of value where the Cowboys drafted to take one in that spot.

It's hilarious how some of you still don't get it.

He's a GREAT LT when he plays. He does NOT make "GREAT LT" money,

The injury concerns are why he doesn't make "GREAT LT" money.

He's worth EVERY PENNY when he plays, and he's still easily worth keeping around.

Nobody is doubting his ability. The problem is that he is MIA at crunch time, which was perfectly predictable. If the GM is penciling him in as the starter, then the GM darn well better have a good backup. He did not.

Imagine this team without Tyron in the games he has played for this franchise over the years? He deserves actual fans, not fake ones who have zero clue how physically debilitating his position is. Dak should be paying him half his salary

From a personal standpoint & experience, I think showing some loyalty to long time employees, who have literally left blood in the workplace for you, is the most admirable trait an employer can have. Do I place it right up there with winning a Super Bowl? Dam right I do.....

He is the #1 rated left tackle and hasn’t given up a single sack. They gave him an incentive laden contract based on playing time.
Problem is, they did NOT adequately plan for a backup……Ball and Waletzko lol, don’t really give Richard’s playing time, leave Udoga out there to ignore edge rushers like they weren’t freakin there. Awful.

Even afte Jerry's control and\ ot demise... his children will not sell the franchise .
Look up other NFL teams that still remain under a family's control long after the original owner was long gone.

He's really good when he plays
And that’s it. He’s still a game changer when he’s in there. But too often he isn’t . Definitely time to move on.

Now if he’s willing to stay at min wage or backup money since he doesn’t play most of the time then I’d keep him on roster. But he won’t .
